DH and I are trying to decide what kind of mattress we want to replace our current one. I'm posting on here because I'm hoping you ladies can answer a few sex related questions about the different types.

Do the memory foam/temperpedic ones mess with the rhythm? I was just thinking that they don't really bounce back.

I worry that we'd pop a sleepnumber mattress the first time he threw me onto the bed. How well do those babies take abuse? Plus we have a cat and I don't want her to accidentally pop it either.

So what kind of mattress do you ladies rock out on? Do you strongly recommend a certain type?

DH and I kept our mattress- we just put a memory foam topper on it.

At first it felt a little weird, but the sex is the same! There really isn't a difference!

We have the classic TempurPedic, and it's wonderful for both sleeping and sex.

Not sex related but the reviews I read about the sleep number bed said it really created 2 clear sleeping zones so you would have dips in the mattress on both sides. might not be the best for sex. We had a memory foam topper and it took a little getting used to.

We have a sleep number. It will not pop, don't worry about that at all. We completely inflate both sides before sex, otherwise it's too soft for a good experience, but we love its adjustability. Firm for sex, firm for me to sleep, soft for him to sleep. Best investment we ever made in our marriage (seriously, the only way we could top it is to buy another one and get separate bedrooms.).

We have a 12" memory foam mattress. It's not for everybody, but for me and my husband it works - I have bad back problems. It is like sleeping on a rock that conforms to your body, so it's not for everybody. But, we love it!

The first thing we bought after our wedding was a king size Tempurpedic Cloud Supreme. It's meant to be the pillowtop version of the Tempurpedics so it is much softer than the classic. BEST THING EVER. We both sleep so well, and sex is amazing. I completely recommend the investment, totally worth it and it will last 20+ years. The best thing about them is they won't ever sink in like other types can. Good luck in your search!
