Nooner will be arriving in like a week, and there are no formal GTG plans. This needs to be remedied ASAP!

What should we do? Dinner?

What's a general area that would be convenient for most?

Since I moved north of Baltimore, it'll take me about 1.5-2.5 hours to get down there, depending on if we do somewhere I can drive (Tyson's Corner or Montgomery County) or somewhere I'd prefer to take the Metro/Marc Train (pretty much anywhere in the heart of the city). If we do somewhere in DC, I'd prefer a time that wouldn't have me leaving too late.

Agreed. She just wants to relive the magic. Neuner is staying in Crystal City- there are a bunch of chains there. Jaleo is good Spanish Tapas. That would be my rec there. If we go over towards me (Old Town) there are fewer chainy places- or we could go into DC and go to a non-chainy place. Matchbox is fun for groups, it is in Chinatown. Restaurant Eve in Old Town is supposed to be good but slightly priecier and foodier. There's also a really good french fusion place whose name escapes me, but they have good French food and good local seafood.

Well, they all sound just fine to me! I've heard of Jaleo but none of the others. I'm down for whatever. I'll drive anyway, so it doesn't matter to me where we are. Shall we say Saturday for this, then?

love the idea of Tapas! That's always fun with a group, you get to try a bunch of different things!

H's are included, yes? Scott won't really have anywhere else to go or anything else to do...

I actually already have dinner plans for Saturday night. Do any of the places Mary listed serve lunch?

Also, my H won't be joining either. He works Saturday nights, and will be sleeping until about noon that afternoon.

It's true, though, it won't really feel like a proper GTG without at least some form of terroristic crustacean. Can Jaleo deliver on that demand?
