What are your favorite brands and colors of nail polish?
I'm a very low maintenance girl and this isn't normally part of my routine so all I own are little girl play cheapo polishes which have since dried out. My nails kind of suck but I'm hoping that by putting some effort in them
I might be able to stop picking at them and let them grow. It worked pre-wedding for me since I didn't want to manicure short stubby nails but after that, all bets were off again!
Re: Favorite Nail Polish?
I like OPI. I just recently tried Essie and it seems to really last/not chip (on my toes at least). I also have some Zoya. I ordered it directly from them & haven't seen it in stores/salons (not that I get my nails "done" often!). The Zoya has good coverage but the "feel" isn't quite the same as other polish. i've heard they're free of some chemicals so that might be why. It didn't last very long but I've heard their base/topcoat improves wear (and I'm not going to invest $20+ just to do my nails at home, KWIM?)
OPI is my favorite brand. My go-to red is called Kennebunk-Port. They have a really nice lighter pink called Not So Bora-Boring Pink that I love.
I like Zoya, too, and haven't had problems with it lasting. I bought it at Mitchell's.

I've got a pretty good range of colors from expensive to cheapo. My fav colors right now are OPI "Clubbing til Sunrise" and Sally Hansen's Insta-Dry "Mochaccino".
Loreal Jet-Set has been the best I've found for duration and coverage. There's a Maybelline Wet-Shine & a Revitalizing Color that's right up there for both too.
Regardless of the color I'm using, I will say I get the best results when I take my time and use my Sally Hansen Double Duty clear base & top coat. Not having kids gives me the luxury of being able to spend 4 hours on a pedi-cure while I'm on the computer or watching a movie. I do base, then 2 coats of color, then top coat - drying at least 45 min in between. My pedis last 4-5 weeks easy with that process. I can stretch them to 7 weeks with a little maintenance.
