Best place to search for jobs?
I have been in the same job for 9 years. I have been looking on sites like the local newspaper, craigslist and monster, and have found that a lot of the sites I'm searching have a lot of "spammy" job "opportunities." My administration just told us they are laying off 400 employees where I work, and having only 9 years in means I'm pretty low on the totem-pole.
In general, what are the best job search sites to look at when trying to find a new job?
TIA!
Don't worry about tomorrow. After all, today is the tomorrow that you worried about yesterday. Take each day as it comes...one at a time.

Careerbuilder.com I've heard good things about.
Start networking with people in your field and see what's out there.

Indeed.com as well... it's the google of job websites.
Don't forget to put the word out there you are looking- friends, family, church, neighbors, etc. They may be the ones with an inside somewhere, especially if a job posting is not advertised. Maybe keep a few resumes handy for spur of the moment convos?
Great- thank you! I will definitely start hunting on Indeed. I've put the word out and have contacted a relative who is a business owner and is actually looking for a project manager- I'm just having a difficult time thinking about working for this relative- it is a great opportunity, and right now beggars can't be choosers, but it still makes me wary.
Thank you all for the wonderful advice- I really appreciate you responses!
I say careerbuilder, monster; and company websites. Indeed is great; however sitting on the other side being a recruiter it can be frustrating because they pull from other sites I post on such as Monster/Careerbuilder which is great; however they are not so diligent in removing and updating posts so I often get calls from people who come across a position on indeed and it has already been filled.

Indeed is definitely the way to go for searching.
