for dinner? I'm meeting my BFF at Cheesecake Factory in like two hours.
What should I get?
here's the menu.
What would you get if you were
a) trying to eat healthy
b) eating whatever you wanted
Re: What should I get...
chris and i usually split the Buffalo Blasts or the Avocado Egg Rolls and a bacon cheese burger or the pasta w/ the peanuts (I cant remember the name).
sometimes we get a slice of cheesecake to bring home.
clearly we dont go there to be healthy.
I've only been to the Cheesecake Factory once a few years ago when we were in St. Louis after FIL's transplant. We don't have one around here. I don't remember what I got, so I'm no help.
Strawberry cheesecake sonds really really good, though.

yes please!!!
I love the Cheesecake Factory! Typically I'll start with avocado egg rolls, then have the portobello burger. I also bring home a slice of cheesecake...usually something really chocolatey, sometimes the carrot cake one.
Enjoy!

Anytime!!!!
Only if I can come!! There is one at the North Shore Mall that isn't too far from Maine, and us in MA. A GTG is in order soon:)))
I love the chicken maderia! I think it's almost impossible to go healthy at the cheesecake factory:) Or the massive app platter is also yummy as well to just do as a meal. I do usually try to only eat 1/2 my meal, and split a cheesecake w/ my dining partner!
Oh and Claire not sure if you know this, they have a kids plate for when they bring the bread, I know this b/c I went to lunch there w/ my friend and her daughter!
Ok lets do this soon. I'd be willing to come down on a week night, although of course due to the drive a weekend works better for me (but that's just me being selfish). I'll reach out to Liz and see what her schedule looks like too!

healthy: Weight Management Spicy Chicken Salad or Cajun Jambalaya both under 800 cal. or grilled mahi with veggies
Anything: Stuffed Chicken Tortillas at 1800 cal.
I use the restaurant app on my phone to check for cal. when I go out. I don't always use that info but I always check.
Now I'm hungry!
I haven't been in ages, but looking it over, that Weight Management Grilled Chicken actually sounds pretty good for the healthy option.
For unhealthy, oh so many choices! The Hibachi Steak, Crispy Spicy Beef, the Lemon Herb Chicken, Shrimp Scampi and Steak Diane......
I'm not a frequent visitor of Cheesecake Factory, in fact I've only been there for actual meals twice. However my BFF and I used to go for cheesecake on nice evenings and we'd walk down there and sit outside by the fountains (there is one in Kansas City about 3 blocks from my old apartment on the Plaza).
A) Healthy- Weight Mgt Asian Chicken Salad
C) Cheesecake- Chocolate Tuxedo, Caramel Pecan Turtle, or Original w/ strawberries
Honestly....I'd really and truly pick a healthy-ish salad and get cheesecake. Most of the over-salted pasta dishes and stuff doesn't really strike my fancy near as much as a piece of ahhhhhmazingly delicious caramel pecan turtle cheesecake.
I've never been to one but we all seriously need to GTG soon, I want to laugh at about Sam's crazy tanning stories.

I'm way late, but this reminds me of a sort of related experience at The Cheesecake Factory a few years back. It's probably not interesting to anyone but me, but here goes...
It was Fall 2007. Phillies finally made the playoffs. We went to the game, they lost, we go out to eat. We're still wearing full Phillies fan gear. Who do they seat next to us (like, he shared the bench with B, probably about a foot away)? Charlie Manuel, the manager (aka head coach) of the Phils, and his family. He got sparkling water and Fried Mac & Cheese.
I know it's too late, but I like the Thai Chicken Pasta. I'm pretty sure it isn't healthy
