Hi everybody! James made his entrance into the world Wed., March 23, at 7:34 AM, weighing 8 lbs 7 oz, 21 inches. He's so amazing, and DH and I are so glad to be home from the hospital. Everything went smoothly with the delivery and I'm recovering very well from the c-section. Breastfeeding has been a challenge, but we're hanging in there and hoping he will start gaining weight soon. He was 8 lbs 7 oz at birth and dropped to 7 lbs 14 oz when we left the hospital (his lowest hospital weight was 7 lbs 13 oz). At the pediatrician this morning, he weighed 7 lbs 12 oz, so they want to see him again tomorrow and Friday to keep an eye on his weight. I get myself so worked up that he's not eating enough, he will only sleep if he's in my arms or his swing, etc, but I keep trying to remind myself that he's too young to develop any habits yet, and he's just trying to figure things out for himself right now.
There are some great pics on Facebook that I'm sure most of ya'll have seen (thank you so much for your sweet comments!), but here's a pic of James at 1 day old. :-)
Re: James says hi! :-)

He's so pretty!
Don't let the weight bother you. He didn't even get to his 10% yet! Those weights are so inaccurate and frustrating. Before you supplement with anything at all please msg me or call me...send me a msg and i'll give you my #.
enjoy holding him!
HEY..the more skin to skin the better for your production.
Hi James!
Glad you are recovering well.

Dusty is doing a great job. :-) He feels bad sometimes because I get stressed out with breastfeeding and there's nothing he can do to help. He's excited for the next couple of months when James gets more interactive and wants to play. :-)
