Can I vent for a minute?

This seems silly, but I'm so sick and tired of hearing about Tylenol, Motrin, Rolaid, etc. recalls made by McNeil.  Johnson and Johnson is the parent company and has recalls in tons of different sectors for things that can actually harm people - their depuy total hips, tainted medications, etc.  If any of us ran a business and something new was recalled each month, we'd be fined up to wazoo and black listed.  I wish it were the same for them.  Can't trust what used to be a quality name.

(This is based on another round of Tylenol recalls today!)

Re: Can I vent for a minute?

  • I don't think this is a silly vent at all.
  • its just irritating.  it wasn't one "oops" at one plant and was fixed.  its always something.  tainted medications.  don't know the concentrations of medications.  faulty hardware that surgeons inplant in people because it passed FDA testing.  the list goes on and on.
  • So funny, I was thinking the same thing today as I was at the pharmacy picking up some infant pain reliever.  Everytime I am in that section, I shake my head at all of the shelves and slots being kept open for infant Tylenol for many months now.

After all of that, I will NEVER use a name brand APAP or ibuprofen.  I know that in general generics are manufacteured by the same factories but CVS and Rite aid I have faith in.  McNeil.....nope!

  • i agree jess-- nothings reliable anymore.... what a waste of money...
