My dog just captured a squirrel in the backyard and I witnessed it. I let him out in the yard to go to the bathroom and immediately saw him dart to the squirrel. Unfortunately DH filled in all the gaps under our fence a few weeks ago (we have vinyl) and the poor thing had no escape route (not even sure how he really got in).
I screamed, dog ignored me (of course) and the worst part was I heard the squirrel squeal when he got captured.
Came in the house, yelled to DH like a lunatic (who proceeded to run out of the shower naked because he thought something was wrong with DS). He went out, found the dog with the squirrel and luckily no blood. We are pretty sure our dog broke his neck. Thankfully he wasn't eating the squirrel-I guess he just wanted to play.
I told DH I would rather go through childbirth twice again before having to deal with the squirrel disposal.
Yay! Happy Anniversary to us.

LMAO.
My dog got into a nest of baby bunnies when my sister and I were teenagers...she called my mom crying and when my mom got it out of her what happened, my mom yelled at her for making her think something was wrong. Come on mom, dead baby bunnies (or squirrels) is a pretty traumatic experience.
Ugh...I remember the dog we had growing up used to do this stuff all the time.
Here's to it hopefully never happening again!!

Sono showed no baby and teeny tiny sac. Waiting to M/C naturally.
This is what I was thinking, too!
When I lived in the country with my parents, the dogs were always killing stuff. The grossest was a possum. The saddest was baby bunnies...
Lol, well yes and no. If they have a big backyard and neighbors with a second story, then he'd be in trouble.
I would be very upset if Maya killed anything in our backyard, for sure. It would also get left for DH to pick up when he got home.
