Gift fo 7 year old girl.. in an unusual situation?
So, I'm visiting some family in the DC area this weekend.
Among them, I am going to my cousin's new apartment, which he has moved into within the last month, since his wife decided to end the marriage. (they'd been struggling for a year, so not a huge shock, but still, he didn't take the end well).
They have a seven year old daughter, whom I don't know very well. She has her own room at his apartment, and will be there a weeknight and every other weekend.
I'd like to bring her a small gift, something for her to keep or use at the "new" place.
She's not into dolls. She likes books, but has a ton -- I wouldn't know where to start to get her something.She's extremely bright, and kind of "adult" in her thinking and world view, if that makes sense.
She's a girly girl, for sure.
Any ideas? I'm at a loss.

You could give her a trip to your internet friend's house 40 minutes south of DC with you?
Just kidding. I will have to think. Are you thinking something for her room? Like decoration wise...?
Ditto Summer something for the room might be best. Could you ask your brother what she may need still to be totally comfortable? You can get something decorative also.
