trying to call the dr. this morning

and I can't get through :(

Grrrr.

I keep getting the answering service, even though the office opened at 9:00.

I don't think I"m having contractions, but I'm in serious pain.  It's all centralized on my right side.  PArt of the pain is sciatic nerve, I think - since it starts at my hip bone and runs over my butt and a little bit down the back of my leg, but the other part of the pain I just can't figure out.

I can't put weight on my right leg.  Getting up from sitting is insanely painful, like I have to stop half way through and catch my breath. The pain is all in the front of my hip - which wouldn't make sense if it's sciatic nerve.  At least I don't think so.  I can't walk.  literally.  If i'm sitting, I'm okay, just trying to walk I look like an idiot.

I have my 40 week appointment tomorrow morning, but this has gotten significantly worse each day since Saturday morning.  And now my friend has me convinced it's labor!  (I don't know what it's like to go into labor since I was induced with Reece).  I'm afraid that it's not labor, that I'm still only 1cm and it's something like a fracture or something stupid like that.

So...just thought I'd get that out.

  • Good luck getting through!  I hope by now you have!  It does sound like at least part is sciatic nerve pain though.  I dealt with that for about a month, and it was awful.  My right leg would randomly buckle out from under me, and walking was torture.  Good luck!

  • Have you had round ligament pain yet in your pregnancy? If it's in the front of your hip and on one side while walking, that's practically a textbook case. It's caused by your uterus stretching. Some women get it earlier, some later.
