So...on these tostizzas (is that what you called them?) - how long do you bake them?  I'm sure I could just watch them and know when they're done, but I always seem to walk away to "quickly" do something, get caught up, and come back to burned food.

I bought all of the ingredients during lunch today :)

Re: Becca

  • Hey sorry I just saw your post! Maybe you figured it out last night? But if not, I usually just bake them for as long as the biscuit canister says to and they come out perfect!
  • Thanks!  I actually ended up looking it up online and it said 20-24 minutes, so I went with 21.

They were awesome!  I actually recommended it to my mom this morning!

Chris got about three bites in and looked at me and said, "These are really good!"  He's pretty easy to please, but doesn't often tell me how great something is unsolicited.  Since he likes everything, I always have to ask what he thinks...

  • ::sorry!:: I cannot wait to try these!!!
  • Kearstin - you should make them tonight!  We are having the leftovers for dinner!

By the way - I added ground beef with taco seasoning to the black beans, and used large chunks of diced peppers and onions.  I also used On the Border salsa, which is so much better than most of the other kinds out there.  Just suggestions :)

  • We had tacos Monday night or else I would hurry up and make them already.  I told Mike about them last night and he's ready to eat them too lol  I'm thinking Friday since we can't have meat, I'm really excited for em!
  • yay! I'm glad they were a hit at your place. I love how you can basically change the toppings depending on your mood. You could probably experiment with non-mexican ones too.
