Dress poll - now with even more PIPs!
Okay, I'm just going to compile the options here. Which dress should I wear for an evening, formal-ish wedding? Purple (but a lighter shade) is the color of the BM dresses, and the bride was quick to point out that someone wore white to my wedding, so I'm worried that champagne is too close to white and red is a no-no. The fourth dress has a tendency to ride up a lot when I'm walking, but I may wear it rather than buying something new. I already own the dresses pictured, and I am having a really, really hard time finding something not in these colors, in my price range, that will look good on me.

I was HOPING $50 or less, but I'll go up to maybe $75? with shipping & tax, depending on how much I love it and if I think I will wear it again.
I have looked at so many websites, I'm shopped out. If you can help me find something I will love you forever. Usually I can't do straps (or most v-necks and scoop necks) unless the neckline is really high, because I generally need straps shortened (I have a weird torso, I guess), which is why a lot of my dresses are strapless.
I gotta run to a lunch meeting, but I hope there are more votes and options when I get back! TIA!
I voted for purple, even though the WP is wearing purple. Or the red one, if I had to choose a second.
Which leads me to ask, where are the purple & red from?!

i voted red bc i think that red color in that shape dress will look KILLER on you.
my second option is number four, which is also cute, but i like the red one the best. i really think it would look stunning on you.

I vote purple since you said it wasn't the same shade. I guess my second guess would be the red.
I couldn't tell you what a single person wore expect the girl who's Vajayjay almost showed and had big holes on each side of her waist. (This girl has wore this dress to more then one wedding)

I like # 4.
I wouldn't wear the champagne, because IMO it's too close to the bride's dress. I wouldn't go with the purple because I wouldn't want to be mistaken for the BP. I like the red but I think it would stand out too much, but if you could find that style in a different color I'd go with that.

Couldn't agre more. I was just there on Saturday and found a cute one shoulder charcoal gray dress. I was so tempted to buy it (I love buying dresses) but realized that I would probably never wear it.
Grrr my reply disappeared. Dress 1 (red) is from 6pm.com, 2&3 (champagne & purple) are from Nordstrom Rack, Dress 4 is from Express. I also get a lot of dresses from J. Crew and WHBM (generally on sale), sometimes Banana Republic. I check out department stores (we only have Macy's and Nordstrom's) but I rarely find anything there.

I'm a little worried that the middle (CR) one is a bit too short, or might ride up like the Express dress I already have. I'm not sure if the Victoria's Secret one is formal enough, but I really love it...thoughts?
Oh, and I noticed three dresses at my wedding:
1. Jeff's cousin, who was wearing a very skanky dress and is only 17.
2. A friend, because I coveted the dress, it was a black/white/red print and sooo pretty.
3. Another friend, because half her bra was showing and I debated saying something to her.

I am leaning toward the red - it hasn't come yet so we'll see how it fits. I may just wear the purple, I'm not really worried about being mistaken for a member of the WP (the style is very different), I just don't want to commit a huge faux pas.
If the VS dress was cheaper, I would buy it just to have it! The NY&Co dress is no longer a contender, it's sold out in my size. Apparently there having a BOGO 50% off sale.

I love the NY&CO dress (3rd) and an now considering it for myself for a wedding next month.
I'm paranoid about their sizing though which makes me reluctant to order. Bleh.

maybe you could wear the red and play it down with some diff color jeweleryand shoes so its not SO red. unless its a wedding to someone that you are very close with aka going to be in alot of photos i think you are fine in red or the purple.
there were several people that wore red to mine and i didnt think anything of it, hell my mom wore red !!!!!
I am SO sorry I didn't get that No.4 dress when I had the chance.
I almost bought it for my rehearsal dinner but then changed my mind and then forgot about it.
By the time I went back for it, it was on sale and there weren't anymore in my size.
I LOVE that dress so much.
