I am on vacation next week. I would like to do 2 days in mystic. J may or may not be able to join me. Would you:
1 - book a b&b for both days
2 - book b&b for one day and 4 Star hotel for other day?
I like the b&b and all that goes with it. The one I am looking at has a great deal of charm and incentives. However if Diva takes time off to join me i am not sure i want to hear his belly aching, if any. (maybe I am worrying for no reason) My compromise would be option 2 so that if the b&b stinks, we have something else to look forward to.

But, if you know he is going, then I would choose the hotel for both nights.
I would stay with my grandpa, because he lives 20 minutes from Mystic and will pick up fresh donuts (from a REAL bakery) for breakfast.
But, since you don't know my grandpa, I agree with pp - I would not want to switch places. I like to get settled and enjoy myself. Book only one place for the whole time.
