Re: WTF Wednesday!
Why the F does the weather look like it's going to be awful, and then part around St. Augustine, resulting in DH's games/practices never being cancelled when I get my hopes up all day long.
Also, Why the F does my MIL want to go to Dr. appts with me. I feel bad telling her no, but I'm not comfortable talking about below the waist things with my Dr. in front of her, and it's not like I get an u/s each time, it's just the HB on the sonar thing.

Ditto! And WTF, this week?! It's a 4 day week for me & it's already felt like a 7 day week.
Also, WTF blister under my toenail?! I guess I can probably kiss my nail goodbye. I was getting a pedicure with my bff Friday too.
WTF statistics professor. You are the only professor who will not let me take my final exam early. Of course yours is the very last one, 6 days after my due date. I have a high A average in your class. Why can't you be nice and let me take my final early?? It would be easier on both me and you that way.

What an ass. I don't understand this. You discussed it with him/her beforehand and you're asking to take it early, not late. I would have agreed to this with my students without an issue, especially with a student that has a high A in the class already. You're clearly not a slacker. This is a power trip thing. He/she is just doing it because they can.
I got that impression, too. I don't get why some college professors do this...
I can tell you from experience that there are situations that call for a professor to say no, but this isn't one of them. You're not talking about a student who never comes to class (I am assuming here...), has crappy grades, and asks to take it late to go on a trip to Mexico. There are some situations where it's not possible (like at FSCJ since the professors don't write their finals, they are controlled by the school itself) but the professor should be able to work something out. The only other thing I can think of is that he/she doesn't have the test made up yet and wants to have as much time as possible to do so.

She's fairly young so I think she is overcompensating because she is concerned with being taken advantage of (obviously not the case here though). So she is sticking with policy to let me make up the final if I miss it.
Sigh.

WTF Jonathan! Why do you have to wait until the day before my birthday to start teething (complete with low fever), then cry/scream off and on from 1-3am in the night, and get up for the day at 7am! I know I didn't have any plans, but dang kid, I didn't have to feel like a zombie all day!
And WTF everybody! Just because I turned 30 doesn't mean my life is over! Some of the comments I've heard: "It's all downhill from here," "Wait 'til the gray starts showing," and "Won't be like life in your 20's anymore!" Yes, I have nothing in life to look forward to anymore, I'm going to suddenly go gray (I found my first gray hair weeks ago, btw), and I totally don't give a flip to leave my 20's behind. WTF is wrong with people that they have to try to make you feel like crap just because of a number?
