Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

droid/iphone users
do any of you use something other than FB for social networking ?
I see a lot of apps like Loopt LivePro or HeyTell ?
Whats the advantage over straight FB ?

HeyTell allows you to send voice messages to other users - my sister and I use it, and it's great to have when I have something quick I want to tell her, but she's not available to talk [and vice versa]. H used to use Loopt, but I don't think he does anymore...and I use TweetDeck, which lets me integrate different social media sites [FB, Twitter, FourSquare etc.] into one place.
I still use FB way more than the other apps, but these other apps help me quickly see where people are or quickly communicate with people. FB is still the more well-rounded way of keeping up with people, if that makes sense.
I've used tweetdeck before ...and foursquare...and twitter.
I use heytell with DH for quick voice messages. It's sort of like a walkie talkie which is nice.
I use fb most and twitter but will probably start using tweetdeck before long. My brother swears by it.
