I thought that this could be fun!
PIP or describe the dresses you wore as a bridesmaid (or to a dance/prom if not applicable).
Re: PIP: 27 Dresses
Super Boo! Ok, Let's change it to bridesmaid/Prom dress.
I have a lot of those. Thank GOD none of them are online.
You ladies would never look at me the same.
I wasn't a fan of the big sash thing, but didn't hate this dress. The color was actually more burgundy than the magenta that it looks like.
This was another wedding. I liked the color.
I felt like an extremely itchy Tinkerbell in this one
Here I am w/ Mom in my prom dress. It's the only pic I have scanned in and isn't the greatest, but this dress was kind of scandalous - completely open backed. I'm so embarrassed at how fake-tanned I am and how skinny and terrible my eyebrows are....
I've actually only been a bridesmaid twice. The first was my cousin's wedding in 2005 and she just had us wear a simple black strapless gown, tea length. I can't find a pic of it on this computer, but it wasn't bad.
For whatever reason, I don't have a pic of the dress I wore in my MOH's wedding from Oct 09, but here's the online pic:
It was from David's and I absolutely hated it. Mine was cut poorly and fit terribly. The same size sample dress at the store fit me perfectly, but the one I wore was enormous on top and way too tight through the hips. I was miserable all day. It actually ripped right after dinner and at the end of the night, we went back to her parents house for an after party and I threw mine in the trash the minute I took it off. HATED that dress.
I'm going to be the MOH is SIL's wedding in June, and here's the dress I'm wearing in that one (in black):
Not too bad. Despite the ill-fitting one at my MOH's wedding, I guess I haven't had it too bad as a bridesmaid.
I posted this picture the other day in the husband's post but here it is again. It's my senior prom:
This picture was from my senior ball in college:
I have never been a bridesmaid so this was my homecoming dress junior year. Ugh, I am so pasty white that the dress practically blends in.
I've never been a bridesmaid either.
My junior prom dress was my mom's from the 80's:
And I adored my senior prom dress. I wish I had an excuse to wear it now. So much beautiful beadwork:
oh this is fun!
I can't share my prom pictures because my proms were all before digital cameras were accessible... but the first wedding I was in, I wore my senior prom dress. The bride gave us a fabric swatch and said to match the color, and I lucked out. I'm on the right hand edge. 2004
BFF's wedding in 2007. I really liked these dresses, they're Vera Wang and we had a lot of fun going to the VW store in NYC to try on stuff and pick out a dress.
Another friend's wedding in 2009. I liked the color.... but man these dresses were obscenely low cut! I used my bouquet to shield my cleavage most of the day. You can see BFF behind me, she and I both tried to sew the dresses a bit so the V neck wasn't quite so plunging.
Not pictured is my grandma's 2nd marriage, wedding in 1998. We wore beach coverups. T shirt material with puffy paint stamped designs all over them. It was awful. Yes she got married on the beach, but gah. I currently sometimes use that BM dress as a nightshirt, but mostly I want to forget it exists. On the plus side, she bought us all nice sandals that I wore until one of them broke 3 years ago
Yay! This is a fun post:)
This was the prettiest bridesmaid dress I've ever seen. I wore it in my friends October wedding last year. I'm definitely going to shorten it one of these days so I can wear it again. I'm third from the left. We were wearing little jackets because it was freezing, but all the dresses were strapless.
This is one I wore in my cousins wedding last November. I wasn't a fan of this one as much:( Ignore my raging dorkiness in this pic.
Here's one just for fun. Me and my friends went to an 80's prom show back in 07. I'm third from the left.

I wasn't either until last year! Then I was a BM twice in two months:) Be careful what you wish for;)

Sadly, all of my close friends have already married off, so the best chance I have is my sister... and I don't see that happening for a LOOOONG time.

I don't have any prom pics on the computer, but I have a few Bridesmaid pics. Both of the dresses were ok, I just hate how I look in strapless dresses.

My sister's wedding in June 09:
Stand up for something you believe in.
This was my mom's wedding. I am on the right and the other 2 are my older sisters. Only one of my friends is married and this happened before we met and neither of my sisters are either.
Pre-warning- some of these are terrible.
Friends wedding in Texas- dont ask about the hair- I didnt have a choice.
brothers wedding
formal Christmas party
I have more but they are on FB.. I will have to pull them off.
Here's the bad ones though. this one is from x-bff's wedding in 2007. The top was raspberry pink and the skirt was white with pink and orange flowers. I haaaated it and the top was way too tight. Also, the guys had bright turquoise ties/vests...it just didn't go.
This one was the WORST though. From my godbrother's wedding in 2004. I couldn't find an actual pic, but the dress looked like this...
Except the tulle around the bottom was WHITE.
Yeah.
I've been a bridesmaid twice. One of the dresses was fine and the other made me look like a linebacker..

I actually have time to play today!
Here is me in my prom dress (I was anti-poofiness). I was soooo skinny!
Here is a black number from 08 (I'm cool in my shades) and a close up of the dress as we were playing with the sash (I can't remember what we ended up doing)
Long purple dresses for my BFF's wedding (I'm not even in this pic, but you get the idea, they were pretty)
My fav dress I never got to wear because the wedding was called off. I held onto it for years (and no, she never offered to reimburse us and they weren't refundable) and hoped I could wear it, but never had the opportunity. It was long and chocolate brown, nothing fancy, but elegant nonetheless.
Senior Prom 2002 - Jay and I are on the right (yes, I too went to prom with my Husband!)
I had never been a bridesmaid either until 2009 and the then my bff got married in June '09 and I was MOH and my oldest friend got married in October '09...they're were lucky I loved them since I could have killed them for setting their weddings so class to mine, especially Oct. (disclaimer: not really kill them, it was just very chaotic from about April to October that year just with weddings!)
June '09 Wedding: beaatiful lilac, 2 piece halter ensemble. Loved it so much I shortened it and have worn it again, twice!
October '09 Wedding: strapless, dark purple strapless. Like the dress alot but was uncomfortable in the strapless and it wasn't long enough for me. loved the color though and the matching dyed shoes I got to go with it that I do wear out frequently!
