Do you really live in a log cabin? I'm intrigued by this. What's it like? Is this common in the area you live in? Do you like it?
I'd rather be rock climbing or playing volleyball

Re: KiwiChampagne
Ah, the drywall inside was one of the things I was wondering about. So I guess it's just the exterior that looks different and the interior has regular framing and insulation between the drywall and the logs?
Do you know how old the house is?
Did you guys pick the house together or did your DH already own it pre-marriage?
I assume it's one story?
Sorry for all the questions, I'm just really intrigued for some reason!
When DH gutted he just left the exterior walls. The whole interior was redone in the last 5 years. It has "normal" drywall and framing. The exterior and exterior walls are the only part that look "log cabin-y". The interior walls run up to the exterior walls.
The house is about 20 or 25 years old. His dad and grandfather built it. One story with a full semi-unfinished basement. Its cozy. Will need more space if we have more kids but it works for now.
Oh that is so cool! Thanks for answering all my questions and for the pic. It looks and sounds adorable.
