Didn't mean to worry you all - I just got really upset yesterday and was very worried about something happening today.
Long story short, my boss decided to ignore me yesterday and I had enough so when she went to run an errand, I decided I'd had enough, lef,t and left her a note that she was clearly angry and so I was leaving and we need to talk about it. I knew exactly why she was acting that way. I went above her head and she was pissed about it.
I come in today and of course she's fine and her normal talkative self so I brought it up and she claimed I was imagining it. Seriously. I was not - I'm so confused by her! So, I took my opportunity to tell her exactly what days I want to work and hours.
I will be documenting what happened again with my board contact. These up and down days of hers are really annoying. The new hire is here and she's really nice so I hope she manages to stick around!
Re: Sorry ladies!
She sounds very bipolar. Im sorry you have to work with someone who is so up and down with their emotions.
You did the right thing by leaving the situation yesterday, and by going ahead with your plan to let her know of your PT schedule. What have you decided on?
Im crossing my fingers the new hire sticks around...for your sake!
She does sound very bipolar. That sucks you have a boss like that and have to work in that environment. I know what it is like and it is not fun.
What did you decide on part-time?
Hopefully the new hire doesn't get run off but I am sure your boss will be super sweet to her for a while.
I've said it before, and I'll say it again... you're a much bigger woman than me! I never would have been able to hold my tongue!
((((hugs))))
My new hours are 9-4 three days a week, 7:30-4 on a Friday (as my mum comes that day so I don't have to wake Lucie up) and one day off. So it's 29 hours instead of 40 but I'm going to fit what I can in from home.
That is great to hear Caroline.
