So, I am trying to rebuild my work wardrobe and force myself to throw out things from college and (gasp!) high school! Help me out, what staples am I missing?
Here's what I have recently purchased:
2 pairs of new dress pants (black, grey) that are actually long enough to wear with heels. I have a myriad of other dress pants that I can only wear flats with (houndstooth, khaki, more black, more grey) but being tall it's next to impossible to find pants long enough to wear with heels too.
Black and Brown seamless camis
New basic black leather pumps from Nine West
Fun grey leather pumps (higher heel than black)
Black and Grey pencil skirts
Black patent leather Cole Hann dress flats
As far as staples go, that's all that I can think of...what am I missing? I am thinking my next purchase should be a sharp fitted jacket?

Re: Fashonistas...come in
black dress
cardigans in a few colors mostly neutral
crisp white button down shirt
Adventures of A Girl and Her Apron
A really great black blazer.
button downs
cardigans (my office can be freezing or hot - just depends on the weather and if they've switched over from heat to cool yet!)
blazers
work sweater - i keep one in my cubicle for emergencies
a few more colors of cami's - I always do a sun check. If your shirt is the slightest of see thru, I wear one (esp @ work!)
Call me Kat =^..^=
With the shirt.. get a non iron. I have some from Brooks Brothers and they are easy to maintain, (no ironing) and you can wear them all day and still look like you just put them on.
::running to BB NOW:::
They aren't the cheapest shirts, but for me and DH he wears them everyday. They are priceless. I throw them in the laundry, dry them, pull them out right after the dryer stops, shake and you are done. You never have to iron ever.
Makes my life so easy. Also they last a long time.
I love nude pumps too.
i agree with the neutral cardigans, and maybe some brighter camis for a pop of color!
also, i always have good luck finding pants at new york and company...they wear well, and they usually have talls!
