1. Do you still have a layer of your wedding cake? No. We did not freeze the top layer, so we'll be celebrating with a chocolate mousse cake from Whole Foods

3. Are you giving "paper" gifts to each other? Or just whatever gift you please? My present to DH is tickets to the opera, so that's a paper gift. I'm not sure wat his gift is to me, but he tells me it's special and something I will love but I won't find out until Sunday
4. Are you doing anything else special for your anniversary that is unique? It is a celebration of our first year of married life, that's unique for us. We are going out to a nice restaurant celebrate.

3. Are you giving "paper" gifts to each other? Or just whatever gift you please? We aren't doing gifts, our anniversary trip is our gift to each other. I guess the card will count as paper.
4. Are you doing anything else special for your anniversary that is unique? We are going to Jamaica - not really unique but this will probably be our last big anniversary vacation... (planning on kids in the next 2-4 years)

1. Do you still have a layer of your wedding cake? Somewhere...I think its at my grandparents house. Thanks to the Air Force, we can't spend our anniversary together anyway, so we can eat it when he gets home.

We're also leaving the baby with someone for the first time ever. I'm very nervous!!!

We just had a bite each... it wasn't bad, but it wasn't good, and we were both skeeved about eating cake that was ayear old...

Nope, not sure where those are, but we just had some nice wine from real glasses, at least they weren't plastic...

We rewrote vows for one another and read them to each other, we are also going to give gifts later on.

1. ?My mom had the top layer, but we couldn't find it when I was home this weekend. ?:( ?Ha!
2. ?We won't for two reasons: the flutes are packed up in my wedding bin in the basement and I'm pregnant and DH would have a fit if I opened some bubbly for us to share (and I'm talking just a sip!)
3. ?I told DH I think we should just skip gifts this year. ?We're getting a baby in a few months...that's gift enough!

4. ?I'm excited about celebrating but I don't think dinner, a night at a nice hotel, and a Cincinnati Bengals game is all that exciting to someone else! ?Haha!?
1. Yes, we still have our cake. And thanks to our awesome baker and her detailed storage instructions, it tasted as good as on our wedding day.
2. We did not use our champagne flutes. We moved days before our anniversary and they were still packed somewhere.
3. Our paper gifts were all tickets - plane & park tickets to Disneyland. Since we went to Disney World/Disney Cruise Line for our honeymoon, we decided to visit the west coast for our anniversary. It was wonderful!
4. I guess the trip is sort of unique. The Disney Parks are now doing create your own ears where you can pick out your hat color and ear color and designs and whatnot. We made our own "happy anniversary" ears and had a blast wearing them around,

1. Yes. I think we're going to eat it when we move into our new house this week.
2. If I get them unpacked yes but if not then we might be drinking from plastic cups or glasses that we got as a wedding present.
3. Yes we are signing the closing papers for our new house this week so that's our gift to each other.
4. I guess moving into our new house. We will probably sit in the new house and eat our cake.

Yes we do/did. We kept the top half, each had a slice of it during our anniversary dinner and wrapped it back up to see how long we can make it last haha. The cake part itself wasn't too bad. We didn't have any of the icing or filling haha.

We wanted to, but they weren't that easily accesable. and, since they were decorated with ribbon, they were very difficult to clean. We just used regular champage glasses we had.

Yes, I made DH a calendar for 2009. Each month had pictures that we have taken during that particular month during the span of our relationship. It came out really great and he absolutely loved it! He got me flight tickets to NYC where we went two weeks after our anniversary for a quick qeekend trip. It was great!

Not really. DH made me dinner, we went to NYC for a weekend trip and he also surprised me with a white gold necklace with a blue topaz pendant which was amazing!
