A Day in the Life

Sorry for the confusion.  I am just going to post this now, so nobody is confused.  I copied the answers from below.  Hopefully it worked.  Amelia. After reading her blog, I have a huge, huge respect for her (not that I didn't before). I just feel like she's overcome so much in her life and instead of making excuses, it just empowered her to lead a good life. She turned out to be such an amazing person and Mother. Also, she has that Southern Charm thing going on. Love it!I also think that DD, Christina and KMO are some of the sweetest people ever. I feel like they are all very caring, nurturing and 100% genuine.

Last active: 03-31-2011, 8:22 AMSilveri would pick ilove because of all the work she does volunteering and as an advocate for pitbulls. if i cant pick her because she isnt around much anymore then my second pick is nooner.i think she works very hard at a job that is more frustrating than rewarding because she lives for the days where she feels that she has made a difference. im sure that has to be hard, but i think it says a lot about her that she is willing to sacrifice her own stress and sanity in order to make a difference in just one persons life. i have a lot of respect for her, but i think if i spent a day in her shoes i would gain even more respect.ask me to read my super secret blog about people in my life  ReportBlockimageReplyQuoteContact03-31-2011 at 8:10 AMimagekmo630Not RankedJoined on 07-28-2008Milwaukee, WI1,254 Posts15,015 Pointskmo630 is online. Re: A Day in the Life

  • This is a hard one.  So many girls have shown me such kindness over the years.

Amelia- always there to give advice and answered many questions throughout my pregnancy.

Steeser, Jill, and MB- They went above and beyond and sent Weston a wonderful gift that he loves...his jumper!

Mary-  Is always there for everyone.  She was first in line to help me through my bed rest and Weston being in the hospital for a week.

Everyone- for sending a wonderful basket to also help me through Weston's extra hospital stay.

I am probably forgetting people, but everyone basically rocks!

  • Doesn't look like mine got c&p'd, so here you go!

::blushes:: Wow, I feel so loved! I love you all too. ::muah::

I think I would choose Nooner. I know she has a difficult job, but I really feel like she has a heart to help people and she really cares. I feel like that's rare to find anymore, because everyone just gets to jaded. Anytime I talk to her, she always has a kind word for me. I love her!
  • Mary, Dbucks, Steese, Ames, Jill, Kelly, Michelle, Nooner, Christina, JA, Catherine, Riss, DD, Andrea, Rach, and Mac -- the quilt you gave to me at Sami's shower is probably one of the kindest things anyone has ever done for me.  When I opened it that day, it truly made me cry the happiest tears, and made me realize what awesome people an internet forum can bring together.  I can't wait until Sami is old enough to ask me about the names on her quilt so I can tell her our stories. =)

    Aw <3 MFEO!

And on that note, I've got to go with all the ladies who threw me my e-shower. Way too many to list, seriously.  It was uncommonly generous; I'll never forget it. <3  Our board is full of women with big hearts.

  • I don't know exactly everyone who contributed but those that did for my spa gift card last summer really shows how wonderful you are. To put together anything for me during that difficult time means the world to me and I am so grateful that there are women out there who cared enough to do that for a complete stranger. Just thinking about it still makes me cry and there is a spot in my heart for each and every one of you!

  • We have a lot of very compassionate women on this board. Even some people who I sometimes butt heads with have really gone out of their way to show me kindness, and I truly appreciate that. That tells me much more about who you are as a person than any little arguments we may sometimes get into.

Smo and mcd have a really solid head on their shoulders. They both know who they are and are confident in themselves and their beliefs. They'll stand up for something when they don't think it's right, and they listen to me vent about BR stuff without judgement. Sometimes a girl just needs to vent and they get that.

Stees has been super compassionate about everything going on with my grandparents. It's a hard thing to go through, and it's difficult to watch it effect your parents as well. I really appreciate her sympathy.

Mary and K-hart have both been a kind ear when TTC journeys have been particularly tough. I know that they "get it" for very different reasons, but I really appreciate them being the ones who step up and say "I know how you feel or I can sympathize."

Jill- Offered to help my sister find a job when she was still unemployed a year after graduating. That was a while ago now, but it meant a lot to me that some internet "stranger" who doesn't know me from Adam would be willing to help my sister.

So many people on this board have been there just to say they're thinking about me or praying for me. That's a powerful thing to have in your life. When we got the news about Al's cancer, I sat at the computer just crying over all of the genuine well-wishes and concern from all of you ladies. I'm getting a little teary eyed now. Sometimes I get mad and say things like "this board just bring more drama in my life," but when I start to think about things like this I also realize how much good it has brought to my life.

Sorry, I wrote a novel. I love you, ladies. Big Smile

  • This is tough! Like you've all mentioned, so many people have good hearts on this board! One person that comes to the front of my mind...

Amanda (dbucks) - was concerned about my sister when she was going through a bad time in her life...she offered to try and help by talking to her and opening up about her experiences in hopes that my sister would feel like someone could relate to her.

Mostly though, I think all the ladies on this board have good hearts and are compassionate people so I could never choose just one!

  • GAH, don't make me choose!  I have at least a couple:

Ames - I think you're awesome. You know that.  And I think it's so huge and selfless of you to let go of this emotional stuff you've been carrying around for Ellie's sake.  You are very, very brave and I commend you for that.

Mary - she's like the level headed version of me.  I get too emotionally involved in stuff and turn into a basketcase.  I've never seen that from her.

and I second whoever said ilove - I wish I had that much time and energy to put into something I care so much about.  I so admire her dedication.

And I still PPH the rest of you!

  • There are so many I would want to list but if I had to only choose 1, I would go with ilove. My dream is to be able to foster & rehabilitate dogs. I think what she does is unbelievable. Everytime I play the lottery, I tell J that if I win, I want to set up my own rescue shelter. Unfortunitely, since we live in a condo, fostering dogs is out of the question. We have 3 of our own and I'm not sure how happy our neighbors would be if we had even 1 more in there.

Aw, thanks, Rach!  You did everything you could to help her, I hope she knows how lucky she is to have you as her sister. <3
