Who has been the kindest to you in your life so far and why?
Re: QOTD
My grandmother (and grandfather for that matter) I can't say they weren't super strict and I probably would not have called them kind as a child but 1 year after they started a retirement they worked their a$$es off for they took in my sisters and I (well actually my younger sister and I first then my 2 older ones a couple years later when my dad died).
In the end my grandmother was able to stretch our social security (no life insurance) out enough for each of us to have money when we turned 18. She didn't have to do that at all and later I found out that what she would do is include her own social security checks with ours remove expenses and add the remaining amounts into savings acccounts and CD's for us (saving a small amount for herself). What she had saved for me covered most of my college tuition.

Pooks, seriously - every time you talk about your grandmother it makes me love her and want to cry. Really, what an amazing woman she probably was.
Aw thanks! Don't get me wrong she had her quirks but it still amazes me what she did. Even looking at my family as it stands I don't think anyone else would do that for each other, sad but true.
