Baystate

I had my first knitting class last night and it was a lot of fun! I can't wait to go home and practice some more! Thanks for the inspiration! :)

Re: Baystate

  • Yay!  I am SO happy you enjoyed it!  Knitting is one of my favorite things to do, and it is such a de-stressor sometimes.  Congrats on learning how!

  • Thanks! The first row is a hot mess, but I slowly got the hang of it...I am going to keep trying. I agree that it's a good de-stressor. I starting laughing when I got to the knit shop when I saw a button they had there that said "I knit so I don't kill people"...haha!

  • Not to thread-jack, but I have been dying to learn how to knit, and I tried a few years ago to disasterous results.  I ended up so much MORE stressed because I was so bad at it!  It's been several years, though, and reading how much fun you're both having...it makes me want to consider breaking back out the needles.  Consider - not actually do it!  We'll see...
  • You should totally do it! I needed to find something that was fun and would break the monotony of work/home/gym and I started the hunt for a hobby. I saw Bay's knitting/reading blog and I figured I would give it a whirl.

Our "teacher" and Bay both have suggested YouTube as a good resource, why not give it a try?

  • YES.  Go for it.  It's daunting at first but once you learn it's like riding a bike.  You never forget.

(It's also like crack and you can never get enough.  Except not bad for you.)
