I finally had some time to get on here and wanted to say hi. Things are going good and we're adjusting well (aside from some expected jealousy issues with DS). Maisy is the best little baby and I am completley smitten with her. Beckett loves being a big brother and usually he is very helpful and sweet. He can also be very jealous, mostly when I am trying to nurse. The days that I have had both of them just by myself have been rough at times. I have a feeling it will get a little worse before it gets better too.
I don't have much of a birth story, but last Tuesday when I woke up I was having contractions, and since I'd been having them for so many days only for them to stop, I almost didn't even bother timing them. It was always such a let down when it was just false labor So after realizing it was finally the real thing, we headed to the hospital, 2 hours later I got my epidural and about 5 easy hours later was ready to push. It only took 6 minutes, 4 pushes (I seriously thought the doctor and my family were BSing me when they started saying she was coming right away), and there was my 9 lb 4 oz. baby with a head full of hair. I never expected her to be so big or for me to have such a quick delivery! I had such a hard time the days leading up to her being born, but such an easy labor and delivery totally made up for it.
They did discover Maisy has a slightly fractured clavical (collarbone) from birth, which I guess is rather common, although typically with a difficult birth. It's minor and the pedi doesn't seem overly concerned, although we are going to see specialist this week, just to check it out.
I'm sorry I'm not posting a picture, I promise I will when I have more time and energy! PIPing always takes me forever for some reason. I did put some on FB though.
I will never get a chance to go through the last weeks' posts- did I miss anything exciting??
Re: HI and update on Maisy
Congrats Tasha! From the pics I have seen on FB she is BEAUTIFUL! Also, I remember when Kim posted your birth update I had to rub my eyes at her weight! What a big baby! Hard to believe that she came for your little bitty body!
Question - is her hair brown? From the pics it looked a little bit darker, considering both you and your H are very blonde!

PAIF/SAIF/PGAL welcome
Yeah, and we thought Beckett was a big baby at 8 lbs 2 oz! I don't think anyone was expecting a 9 pounder. And oddly enough, I gained over 10 lbs less with this pregnancy!
Her hair is brown. At birth, it looked blonde, but it's definitely a light/medium brown. H and I were both very blonde growing up, and Beckett is blonde so it never occured to me she would be anything but. I'm thinking it will fall out. But all along, Beckett has predicted he would have a brown haired sister, so you never know!
Married Bio
My family is all blonde, light brown haired and when my little sister was born she had jet black hair. First thing I said was "she must be the wrong one." Lol. Her hair is now a dirty blonde/really light brunette.
Congrats Tasha.
Maisy is a beautiful baby! I'm so happy for you and your family!
