RWP Zoo Membership?

Does anyone have one?  Is it worth it?  I just got a discount in the mail and it's tempting.  I just don't know if it's worth it.  WDYT?

Re: RWP Zoo Membership?

  • We have one and use it all the time...We wouldn't go as much if we didn't have the membership but go a lot b/c we do...My kids never tire of heading up there and walking around!
  • I was just trying to decide the same thing.  I think I might do it too.  It might make me go more often.  Some days I wantto go just for a bit, but think it's not worth paying the $$ to go by myself and staing only a short time.  If it was "free" I can do whatever I want.  :-)  It would be nice to meet up with nesties there too- I have never met a nestie IRL.
  • HA! Yup, one time we only made it as far as the elephants and my daughter had a melt down so back to the car we went and I didn't have to feel bad that I was wasting the money...
  • I just got that offer in the mail too and was contemplating the membership too.  Hopefully this year we could use it more :)
  • We have it and love it! there are time we just go to see the giraffes and elephants and others we do more. It is nice to know if your child doesn't make it thought that your not wasting money by leaving!
  • I love it and just go to get out of the house..they are open all year and you don't pay for parking either which is a plus.

If we go just for an hour that is good for me and the kids to get out and get fresh air.

I've been a member for about 13 years since my first DD was about 2... love the zoo so much!  It is definitely worth it if you plan on going more than a few times a year, and it pays for itself within a few visits.  My DH is home with the kids right now, so he'll probably start going when the weather warms up so they can get out of the house.
  • another thumbs up here.

we go ALL year round.  We just bundle up and go.  It's nice to get out, and have a walk around without having to worry about cars and whatnot :)
