How come we can't ever get ladies from this board to plan a GTG? I know it's been mentioned a few times, but never seems to work out. I guess I can only blame myself as I haven't initiated planning anything either.
I don't know most of the MN ML nesties ... maybe I need to start hanging out there.

probably because it's hard to come up with a venue. i find that to be the biggest challenge, especially in the winter.
i've hosted a couple at my house which were pretty fun (at least i think so), we did one at the Vegas Lounge (karaoke!). that was fun too. then there was a small one at Bearpath that was hosted by them to check out the venue but it was fun too. there was also a summer BBQ at a park which was well attended. (i missed that one. boo!)
i think they are easier to do in the summer when there is more "space". most people don't want to open up their homes to a bunch of strangers (clearly i don't have that complex).
i always enjoy the GTGs. if someone plans something, i'd likely attend!
My pooch? He's a lab/rottweiler mix, at least that's our best guess. Definitely rottweiler, not quite as certain on the lab part but we don't have any better guesses. He's a big ol' mutt :-)
I know there have been some GTGs in the past (but it's been a long while!). For a long time, I was too nervous to go meet a bunch of strangers. By the time Lily had the party at her house, I had actually decided I was brave enough to attend a GTG, but then I had to work that night so I missed it.
Maybe this summer we could try something again?

Ah, his face looks like my dog's (but I cant a pic in here for some dumb reason).
I would definitely be up for a GTG when it gets nice out. Meet up at a park for a pot luck? Then we can bring the dogs/kids. Or, to the patio of a great bar!
