I don't know what possessed them to do a musical episode in the first place. And the episode could've been great! Instead it was really weird.
Callie was the only one who could sing... But she won (or was nominated for? I forget) a Tony, so it isn't surprising that she can sing.
Owen singing was really weird, for some reason. And the whole thing that everyone went home and had sex that night? Kind of odd when one of your best friends is on the verge of death.
I didn't know that about Callie. I agree, she sounded really good. Owen was weird. Everyone else I actually thought sounded OK, better than I expected. People seem to have very different opinions about the voices.
And yes, the sex sequence was just weird.
Technically, it's not... people seek comfort in times of crisis and grief. It's not uncommon though it seems inappropriate. People need to feel closeness when they are dealing with tragedy.
Anyway, I agree that it was weird-- DH and I were having fun with the voices-- he was critiquing their singing. At points, it was somewhat humorous to see how they incorporated the songs. I hope to never have another Greys musical again though!
They were all smiling and laughing and singing a happy sunshine song... I still think it's odd.
That's different though! I was just referring to the sex part... the happy/ sunshine song was WEIRD and seemed inappropriate.
