I have an FB friend that has requested prayers for her dog about 4 times in the last 24 hours. It's getting on my nerves. No, I am not going to pray for your dog. Considering the issues she's having, she probably needs to get put down and you are being cruel by prolonging her life.
FTR, I love dogs, but I think there comes a point when enough is enough. Spending your life's savings attempting (key word here) to save a dog is foolish IMO.

Agreed. I had a couple that I am friends with put up that they were engaged (after om, I dunno 8 years of dating!) and then April Fools...lame. I feel like they just ended up making arses of themselves.
Or an official drink/color - at least Cinco de Mayo and St. Patrick's day have those. Other cultures have way better holidays.
I'm jealous H has spent all day at home while santa claus fixes our termite damage. I wish I had stayed with him!

I find this to be typical of hispanic people. My grandfather would take a bread bag, turn it inside out, and use it to carry his lunch. He would see no reason to use TP if he had a bunch of free napkins to use.
The IL's certainly are thrifty, which I alternately think is good and annoying. There certainly is a bit of wide-eyed staring on both sides of the cultural divide in this house, which is one of the many reasons 2 week visits are very wise.
I haven't been able to get on the nest all freaking day and it drove me nuts!!!
