Does anyone watch "Who Do you Think you are?"

Just wondered if anyone else watched this show.

It is about celebrities that research their family history.

Rosie O'Donnell's has by far been the most interesting.

Her grandfather wasn't happy with his life, so he just up and left his family, wife and like 4 or 5 daughters, and disappeared.  Even his family, mom and sisters didn't know where he went.  Through the show Rosie found out that about a year after leaving he remarried and started a whole other family!!

Can you believe that!!  To just leave your children and never look back.

  • I knew of the show for a while, but never actually watched until last night - H and I were flipping around and caught Steve Buscemi's episode.  He's a great actor and we like him, so we watched.  It's a great show!

I'm sure we'll be too busy next Friday to watch, but I set up a recording for Gwenyth Paltrow's episode - I'm looking forward to it.

  • I've seen an episode here and there, Lisa Kudrow,  Vanessa William, and someone else who found out her family was tried as witches in the salem witch trials.

  • Yep - I've watched all of them and have been doing genealogy for over 3 years.

You can also get UK episodes on YouTube if you're really interested.

The Generations Project (BYU tv show) is available free online.

Most public libraries as well as LDS Family History Centers have free access to Ancestry.com for those interested.  FamilySearch.org is also increasing their free records by the week.
