Where to go except for Denny's?  Not that Denny's is bad, but I wanted to know what else was around (Big G's is too far).

    I go to Bagel Maineia a lot, but for a nice sit down, what about Slates in Hallowell?

    I love Big G's!

    We have gone out to Cloud 9 I believe it is. It is the restaurant inside the Senator Inn - the ILs go there all the time. We have only gone once and it was pretty good.

    It's not fancy by any means, and I'm not from the area (and maybe you know something about the place that I don't) but we've gone to the AHOP a few times.    My husband grew up in Gardiner and their fave old-school place is Hi-Hat!  :)   Slates is so yummy, but I've only gotten pastries/bread/cookies there.  I've been to a shower at the Senator and the breakfast food was good so I bet Cloud 9 is tasty.

    Bond Brook Pancake House!! It's a small place, but really good. It's down the hill past UMA, it's on the left in that little plaza.

     

    Edit: But if you wanted more "fancy",  the Senator's brunch is good too!

    I forgot about the place in Bond Brook!!  We just want something simple because we have errands to run and food to cook and a house to clean before tomorrow...ugh

    We talked about trying Slates...Thanks for the suggestions ladies!
