I signed on to Living Social before I realized what day it was. They had a bonus deal so I clicked on it. It was for a salon in a location I had not heard of. Instead of using the typical spa things they use meat products. There was a picture with a woman with salami on her eyes. I was actually thinking, cool, Living Social must be doing a new set of coupons devoted to the ?odder? things in life. I couldn?t figure out where it was for (I didn?t wanted it, just wanted to know where they were doing such a thing), I clicked "buy" to see if it would give me more information (sometimes you have to pick a location). It said April Fools?..well, of course it would. I clicked on the movie on fast forward and there was a man rubbing gravy all over a woman?..
I also read about the Google Motion one, but I found it off a site which was talking about all the April Fools jokes, had I not been expecting it, that one would have been funny.
Re: Have you seen any good April Fools jokes yet?
DH is works in IT and he manages a database of employee bios. He "added a new feature" where you could search for employees by height to reach things on tall shelves. Every search turned up a bio for Rick Astley and all the links from there took you to the Never Gonna Give You Up music video. Yep, he "rickrolled" all of them! I htought it was pretty funny.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rickrolling (The meme is a bait and switch: a person provides a hyperlink that they claim is relevant to the topic at hand, but the link actually takes the user to the Astley video.)
So you can find a employee to reach the things on the high shelves.....cute. I need that.
Well, the feature doesn't actually work (that would violate some HR rules)..the joke is that if you do try and use it, you get directed to the music video. It's an internet meme called RickRolling.

Google usually has a good one - but I thought this year's joke was dumb.

I think that is cute. I like those types of April Fools' jokes.
We are all 14 year old boys where I work. We think the dumbest stuff is funny.

One of my FB friends saw one that amused me. A Caribou had a trivia question that asked "Which 80s pop star shot to fame singing the words 'never gonna give you up, never gonna let you down'...?"
Caribou Rick-rolled their customers today.
