I'm late on this, but eemed like there were a lot of designer/techy April Fools jokes going on all over the web.
If you googled, helvetica, it displayed everything in comic sans.
On hulu, it displayed everything the homepage using awful 90's UI (type not antialiased, fluorescent blue links, blinking and scrolling animated gifs).
YouTubes website said "Est 1901"
I'm so sad I was too hung over on 4/1 to enjoy the interwebz April Fool's Day jokes. I was able to catch up on some, like gmail motion, but it's not the same after the fact.
Note to self: self, you are too old to drink a couple bottles of wine in one night.
