I always like to do stuff on Friday nights. People are ready to relax (party) and because they don't have to worry about work the next day, but the weekend hasn't really started yet either.

friday nights work for me and 7-9 is great. gives me time to get the boy home to lars if we have him or to go home and get my wheels if i bussed it in.

Friday's work for me, but if it falls on my night to work (I'm the night nurse), I'm on the floor at 10:30pm, so I'm *hopefully* sleeping from 7-9.
I work every other weekend, so if it's my off w/e then I will be at the gtg. In case anyone cares, my off Fridays are 4/8, 4/22, 5/6, etc...
I'm interested too - and I'm with you on working up the courage to attend!
I could possibly attend one depending on the Friday.
Another location to possibly consider is Poor Richards off 494 and Normandale. They have 2 private rooms and you just have to order food and drinks, no room fee. I have manager meetings there often.

Fridays overall are good for me as long as it's after 5:30. I can bribe the nanny to stay late or DH can watch the girls for a bit.
ETA: FWIW to the ones that haven't made a GTG, I have met a lot of these gals separately (I have made only a couple GTGs) and nobody bites. They're all pretty lovely. Ok.....maybe Kiz bites, but she has very strong warning signals before she bites.

I work every third weekend, but otherwise am fairly open on Friday's and flexible on location.
