I've wanted to ask this for a long time. How do you deal with the monotonous repetition involved with cleaning? Sometimes the repetition makes me feel like I'm stuck in a time loop, doing the same thing forever. I know these are things that should be done, and I do them, but I get so bored and sick of doing them sometimes--it almost feels soul sucking sometimes.
Re: Cleaning and repetition
Other than not cleaning at all, I like getting new supplies to try out. That's really the only thing that gets me interested in cleaning.
i do it when he isnt home so that i can blare my music and sing and dance while i clean.. silly, yes... but it makes it a tad more entertaining!
This exactly, I really enjoy the sound of a vaccum running! I know that some people turn cleaning into a game. They will set an egg timer for 15min and see how much they can get done before the timer goes off. Maybe you could make cleaning like a game and clean in time increments.
