Does Anyone Else find Babies R Us confusing

I had to go to Babies R Us to get a shower present for a friends shower on Sunday. That place is so confusing!! I don't know if it's because I don't know what I'm looking for, and the registry descriptions don't make too much sense to me, or if it's that store is just that disorganized. I find Target so much easier to navigate for baby stuff!

And also do babies really need all that stuff!! Holy cow it was insane I bought stroller netting???? WTF is that

  • I totally agree! We registered there and had to take a break in the  middle and go get some lunch because it was so overwhelming.

  • well....we've been browsing in there for over a year, so i pretty much know where everything is.

and no, babies actually NEED very little. food,diapers,swaddle...

  • Emily-Next time I'll double check with you where things are:) Seriously the poor kid will be in a giant net in the stroller... Hey it was on the registry...

But I had to resist buying the giant zebra which was so cute. It would look adorable in the nursery but hey I'm sure the baby needs more useful stuff:) But I did get the baby a stuffed black lab, and a black lab onesie from the Black Dog store, as it's my signature gift for babies...

  • I was so confused when I went to register, but now I have the freakin' store layout memorized so it's a piece of cake.  Around here they are all laid out the same, too, so it makes it even easier.  And no, you don't need all the crap they do sell.  Like Emily said- diapers, food, and love.  (Some babies don't even need/like swaddling)  And diapers are cheaper on Amazon Mom.

Oh I HATE the one by us, it feels so disorganized and I had such a hard time matching up the item with the registry by the numbers they give.

The netting ... I think it's to keep the bugs (mosquitoes, flies, and bees) off the baby Stick out tongue

  • It is pretty entertaining watching all of the parents to be running around with gear trying to figure out how it works. This included us of course. I can't tell you the number of times Kirk, folded and un-folded strollers before we finally decided on the one we wanted.Stick out tongue

  • I hate trying to find stuff off registries there.  It confuses the crap out of me too.
