Job hunting in a different city
My husband and I have been actively searching for jobs in a different city (about five hours away) for the last year and have had zero luck. Can any of you offer any advice on how you found a job in a different city or how you would do it? Any specific wording to add to our resumes? Should we use a family member's local address on our resumes? My husband can transfer - should I just quit my job and hope to find a job in this new city? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Have a local address on your resume. The only issue with using a relative's address is being available for an interview tomorrow if they call.
Work with a recruiter.
Have a strong CL that states when you'll be moving and clearly indicates that you don't want them to pay for relocation.

use local address, be as flexible as possible - had to do this years ago when I relocated to live with DH.
And as most important in any job search - network! Does anyone you know where you live, know anyone who works in the relocation city? Do your family members who live there know anyone?
