One year and two weeks later, and my divorce is finalized thank g-d.
it has been a very long, difficult journey, but I literally felt like a 170 pound weight was lifted from my shoulders after court.
I filed in November...so it was only about 4 months and a few days...although the proceedings were fairly straightforward, every day is too long when you are in this situation.
A very strange thing...although this was a horrible, terrible ordeal to go through (would NOT wish it upon anybody)...what does not kill you makes you stronger. Sometimes I wonder if I had to go through all this, because I regained my inner strength I was always a bit of a tough cookie) and have never been stronger or more sure of myself.
Things here are going well...interviewing for new jobs, enjoying family and friends and just relieved that I have gotten my life back.
I am in no way diminishing the happy anniversaries you are all having...I am so excited for all of you. And if things had been good, I would have been right there with you. But, I just wanted to share my happy news too :-)

Cara I'm glad you posted & hope you continue to do so. Married or not we all started on a journey together and its nice to KEEP together no matter where life takes us.
I'll second that its takes alot of guts to do what you did - too many people would stay unhappy.
