I have 3.5lbs of country style boneless pork ribs. I wanted to cook them in the slow cooker tomorrow. I have a big bottle of BBQ sauce also to use with them. However everything I put in the slow cooker lately has ended up being dried out. I don't know if this new slow cooker I have runs hot. Do you do anything special to your ribs? Add water to the BBQ sauce or anything? Do you think I should cut the cook time down from 8hrs to maybe 6hrs? Any help would be great. Thanks!

Re: Slow Cooker Question
I just got a smaller crockpot - 5.5 and things look good. I'm cooking country style ribs right now! I don't buy the boneless ones, though, i find that they dry out quicker than bone-in.
two great recipes: 1st - 1/2 cup water, 1/2 tsp salt and 1/4 tsp black pepper over 3ish lbs of ribs. cook on low for 8-9 hours, drain, then return with your fav bbq (i use like 3/4 of a bottle) and cook on low for another hour.
2nd - 2 lbs country style ribs, 1 cup bbq sauce, 1.3 cup honey, 1 onion chopped, and few dashes vietnamese hot sauce. Cook on low for 8 hours (i'm making these tonight!)
So I tried the foil trick and it seemed to help. They were still a bit dry but I think had we been home earlier and I only did 6 hours instead of 7 they would have been great. Thanks for the help! I think I am going to look into a smaller crockpot for dinners and keep the large one for parties. Its hard cause J wont eat anything with a bone in it so it is always rough to figure out the cooking time since it dries out quicker.
NiknTrev - There are plenty of leftovers.... come on over and we will split them. J has a union rally tonight anyway ;-)
