Favorite thing about your current home? 2 bathrooms, washer/dryer, cathedral ceilings, and porch
Least favorite thing that you CANNOT change? Just a tab more cabinets and that is has hard water

What's the very next project on your to-do list? Curtains and new dressers in the master
What's the biggest thing on your to-do list? NURSERY!!!

Favorite thing about your current home? The location. Actually, the town is really boring. But it's safe, clean, and has a Whole Foods, Indian grocery, and really nice gym.
Least favorite thing that you CANNOT change? Our place sucks. It's tiny, doesn't have climate control, the stove is really bad, and there's no laundry.
Least favorite thing that you CAN change (and how you plan to fix it)? We definitely need different and better furniture.
What's the very next project on your to-do list? Ditching the place lol! We're looking for a new place.
What's the biggest thing on your to-do list? Once we've found a place, I want to work on getting better furniture.
Do you rent or own your home? I own a home back in Houston, but our home here in Fort Worth is a rental. Since we couldn't sell my house we had to rent it out and thought renting a home for us would be good for now until we get it sold.
Do you live in a House/Condo/Apartment/Other? (I feel like I'm playing MASH on this one haha) It's a house.
Favorite thing about your current home? It's got tons of kitchen cabinets for storing all of my cooking stuff.
Least favorite thing that you CANNOT change? There are these double doors going into our bathroom. They are skinny and one barely shuts while the other is so hard to open. It hurts like heck when you slam into the one that gets stuck while going to use the bathroom in the middle of the night. Our "forever home" will have a single door going into the master bath!
Least favorite thing that you CAN change (and how you plan to fix it)? The fence quality is bad and the neighbors' dogs are always trying to bust through to get at our dogs.
What's the very next project on your to-do list? Get new couches! Ours look awful.
What's the biggest thing on your to-do list? Any big project can wait till we get a permanent house.

Favorite thing about your current home? Storage! Seriously, I could store people in my extra closets. It's amazing.
Least favorite thing that you CANNOT change? Our backyard is tiny... We have a pool, and very little else other than the sidewalk around it and some weeds around that. I keep joking about filling it in - DH doesn't realize I'm halfway serious.
Least favorite thing that you CAN change (and how you plan to fix it)? I dislike our carpet. It's soooo light - I'm not sure if they even make anything lighter. And it's also itchy and rough. I sort of want to go ahead and have kids and let them destroy it so I can justify getting new carpet... because this was put in right before we bought the house.
What's the very next project on your to-do list? Well, I am sort of dabbling in a few things - mostly paint-related. Since they're all in progress at the moment, I'll tell you all of them. Our bedroom needs a paint job, because we had to cut a hole in the wall to fix a pipe. DH patched and primed it, but I want to paint a different color but can't commit. Similar situation with the kitchen, but we need to pick colors for the ceiling and walls. Then, we're painting the dining room (well, just below the chair rail). I have a sample area painted, but I want DH to approve. Those all count as "very next" right?
What's the biggest thing on your to-do list? Replastering the pool. Which I am dreading... it's just going to be so expensive
The biggest thing I actually WANT to do is get a dining room table and chairs... I'm in the process of collecting all different chairs, and am going to paint & upholster them to match each other, and then buy a pretty new (and huge!) table. I cannot wait for this project to be finished, but in a good way!

Do you live in a House/Condo/Apartment/Other? (I feel like I'm playing MASH on this one haha) We live on the first floor of a two-family home.
Favorite thing about your current home? It's HUGE. And there's a lot of natural light.
Least favorite thing that you CANNOT change? There's no dishwasher. I guess we COULD fix it, but we'd have to ask the landlord permission to buy our own dishwasher, and really, why waste the money when it's not our permanent home?
Least favorite thing that you CAN change (and how you plan to fix it)? The decor, and we changed it!
What's the very next project on your to-do list? Moving the rest of our furniture in and started to decorate the walls.

Least favorite thing that you CANNOT change? I wish it had assigned parking and a washer/dryer
Least favorite thing that you CAN change (and how you plan to fix it)? The kitchen cabinets and counters. I am not sure it's worth fixing? I just think they are ugly.
What's the very next project on your to-do list? Reclaim the second bedroom as an office/guest room. Right now it's like a giant closet filled with post-wedding crap.
What's the biggest thing on your to-do list? Reclaiming that second bedroom and scoping out the real estate market for a potential move.

Sigh. Rent. We just handed in the renewed lease which will keep us there until Nov. We are a little sad that we're not quite ready to buy a house. But there are too many factors up in the air right now!

lol - MASH! So bad haha. One-bedroom apartment. It's a nice little place, but too cramped if we have more than two guests over lol.
Favorite thing about your current home?
Well, the small size makes it easier to maintain and clean. Also, I love the details... it's got lovely detailing on all the doors, some great trim work, and a nice layout. All in all, it's got more character than I ever expected for a relatively new, suburban apartment in our price range. Also, in spite of the small size, the bathroom is huge and we have a laundry room attached to it.
Least favorite thing that you CANNOT change?
We need another bedroom for guests or storage.
Least favorite thing that you CAN change (and how you plan to fix it)?
We never hung curtains. I don't like the look of the bare mini blinds. Not sure we'll get around to it before the lease expires.
What's the very next project on your to-do list?
Hang a few more pictures. Might as well if we have most of 2011 left to live in it!
What's the biggest thing on your to-do list?
Laundry. Love having the laundry room but it makes it too easy to just shove piles of clothes in it and shut the door.

Favorite thing about your current home? I like the kitchen the hubs put in, though I would have done it differently, it's pretty nice.
Least favorite thing that you CANNOT change? Location. It's in a suburb and I hate my commute. It also has no curb appeal.
Least favorite thing that you CAN change (and how you plan to fix it)? Curb appeal, I set aside a chunk of change for re-landscaping the front yard. Something to pick away at. Eventually (3-5 years) we are going to reface it with stone and new siding if I have my way. I have drawn up 3d plans and am set to go. This past weekend I cleaned and organized the wood shop merging all my tools with his and set up a sewing room/nook. I bought all the fabric to make floor to ceiling curtains to close off the storage shelving so it will feel more inviting to hang out there and work/craft.
What's the very next project on your to-do list? Make the curtains and knit a Nook cover.
What's the biggest thing on your to-do list? The landscaping for this year. I'm trying to restore it back to a mid-century modern aesthestic. Next year we will finish the basement.

Favorite thing about your current home? The size of the kitchen. Plenty of cabinets, counter space, and a full sized pantry
Least favorite thing that you CANNOT change? Well, technically, I could change this if I had the money, but I choose not to. I hate the tub. It has a texture to it and makes it almost impossible for me to clean. Dirt gets trapped in between the little bumps and I spend 45 minutes trying to scrub it out (weekly). It angers me. The other thing I hate is the banister/railing. For some dumb reason, the builders made it out of PINE. So it scratches from my finger nails. My dog chewed up part of it, too. I just don't have the money to fix it.
Least favorite thing that you CAN change (and how you plan to fix it)? The bathroom sink has a chip in it, and keeps rusting away, and the chip is getting bigger. I plan on getting a free sink from a co-worker to replace it with; he?s demoing his bathroom today and offered it to me.
What's the very next project on your to-do list? We're replacing the carpet and vinyl flooring within the next 2-3 weeks. It's in pretty rough shape.
What's the biggest thing on your to-do list? Just the carpet, unless the hot water tank dies before we move, we don't plan to do anymore work to it. (we're hoping to sell in 1.5-2 years).

Least favorite thing that you CAN change (and how you plan to fix it)? The white walls - we bought new and havent painted yet, its driving me nuts because it doesnt feel "homey" with white walls. We're discussing painting...depends on how long we'll be here.
