How was your weekend?

Mine just went by way too quickly.  It was good though.  Now here it is Monday again.  I have a ton of stuff coming up this week too.

Re: How was your weekend?

  • Mine went by way too fast as well!

Saturday was uneventful, we ran a bunch of errands, DH's family came over for dinner. We got DS and inflatable ducky tub and he LOVES it, so he had a long tub on Saturday night.

Yesterday we looked at 7 houses. Nothing we're seriously interested in, but we learned a lot about different areas and what our priorities are. So it was an overall successful day, I'd say. The we went to dinner with my father (he's a builder, so he comes to houses with us since he can get a feel for them structurally, as well as what work we should or shouldn't take on).

    I love looking at houses!

  • It was definitely quick. Saturday I went to visit my friend's sister at college at UNH.It was fun but definitely made me feel old since I was ancient to college kids. Yesterday just did some cleaning, laundry and food shopping. Nothing too exciting.

  • It was ok- I'm recovering from another cold (3rd one since becoming pregnant) and was completely drained this weekend. We ran up to Nashua so I could introduce DH to Buy Buy Baby and show him my decisions for things (basically, he agrees with most of what I want but he has never seen a stroller in his life) and then we came home, cleaned and his friends came over for Final Four.

Sunday, I slept most of the day on the couch... we tried re-crating our dog at night and it was an absolute failure (just posted on Pets if you want to give me advice!)... so little sleep either night-- and NOT due to the dog... the cat is ridiculous.

I could use another day to be productive!

  • Saturday, we went up to NH for lunch with the in-laws for my MIL's birthday.  It was just a whole lot of running around, and I'm over the whole closest-Zipcar-is-a-bus-ride-away thing, because it makes everything that much more complicated/exhausting. Just when you're ready to collapse, you have to stand around and wait for a d*mn bus, sigh.

Yesterday, I was a slug. I did clean a bit in the morning (including the bathroom), and I managed to walk over to CVS (a block away), and then to the sub shop for lunch (a block in the other direction). But then I sat on the couch and didn't move. My husband walked to the grocery store by himself, and I only felt a little guilty because I was just that tired.

And apparently, my motivation has been sucked out of me, because I've been at work an hour and a half, and I've done a whole one work-related thing.  Blerg.

    What stroller did you pick???

  • Saturday, DH and I went into Boston to the Science Museum. I've never been before so I was excited. I love science stuff! We checked out the Tornado Alley movie on the Imax which was pretty insane. Then we went over to The Grand Canal for dinner and drinks while we watched the Final Four games.

Yesterday we just a bumming around day. Typical Sunday stuff: church, grocery shopping, laundry. We did do a little shopping - there is a new store at Patriot Place and I left with the CUTEST new dress and yellow wedge shoes. I wish I could find pics online to show you guys.

I'm pretty sold on the city mini. Love how light it is and it's super easy to fold up. I think you have one already, right?

  • weekend was good!  MrT started doing some work on the room next to the kitchen so that work on the kitchen can begin maybe this weekend!

I met up with jcam and some ladies she knows from BOTB at Kimballs - that was really fun!

I had to work yesterday afternoon/last night which has made me very tired today

  • I have the City Mini and love it! I used it with the Chicco infant seat and adapter until  my little one was 6 months. It's so lightweight and turns so easily. My only wish is that it had a bigger basket underneath. Hope you love it!

ETA: I meant to quote the post talking about the City Mini, but my weekend was good also, and much too short!

  • I just wrapped up my long weekend.  We went down to NY for a Sunday wedding and had a fantastic time.  We drove down on Saturday and had dinner at Morimoto then saw Avenue Q which was fun.  We were a little early for dinner so we ended up walking through nearby Chelsea Market, where a sample sale happened to be going on.  I ended up getting two event-type dresses, one work dress, and two casual shirts Smile

Sunday morning we wandered around Manhattan and Brooklyn a bit before heading out to the wedding.  It was in a cool loft space and we had a great time seeing old college friends of mine.  It was the first traditional Jewish wedding I've been to so that was really fun for me to experience.

One of the college friends happens to be a chef in NY and we decided to go to his restaurant for brunch this morning before leaving.  He told us that he's more responsible for the dinner menu than the brunch menu though so we put ourselves in his hands and he just made us some of his favorite dishes.  I swear we had dinner--actually, make that enough food for two dinners--as our "brunch."  A delicious appetizer of toasted pita with three dips, a scallop/gnocchi/lobster broth dish, duck, chicken w/mole sauce, and artic char.  I mean, wow.  It was fantastic.

It was just such a great weekend!

I'd rather be rock climbing or playing volleyball
