Lhasa-poo

Anybody have a lhasa-poo -- or know someone who does?  How are they with kids?  Or does it really just depend on the individual dog?

We saw one at the ARL this weekend, and even though we were only 'looking' -- I can't stop thinking about this sweet little dog... and how much Z would love to be her friend!

With any luck, someone else will adopt her quickly & it won't even be an option any more so I can stop thinking about this!  :)

Re: Lhasa-poo

  • I had a lhasa poo growing up. She's 15 this year and so sweet! Yes it does depend on the breeder/parents but in general they're decent dogs.

She's literally the best dog we've ever had. Great with children. Ana follows her around and tries to pet gently but you know kids. Indy just deals with it.  lol! She doesn't really shed much at all either which is a hug plus. She also is very smart and potty trained quickly. We taught her to ring a bell when she had to pee as kids and she caught right on.

  • I don't know about that breed, but I am such a sucker when it comes to the ARL.  The times I have been down there, I have wanted to take ALL the dogs home!  And, this doesn't help, but I watch the news on Sat mornings, and they highlight a dog from the ARL every weekend, and I think, 'hmm.. could we add another pet to this household?'  And, then my DH stops me.  :)

I think adopting from ARL is an awesome thing!  If you do, hope all goes well with the pup and Z!  Kellen and our dog get along great, and I was really worried before he was born, because he is kinda a b#@ch.  Small dog thinks he is big stud.  :)
