have you filed your taxes?

We owe, some I'm waiting until April 15 to send them off. Ugh.

However, I'm so darn happy there's no state income tax here!

Re: have you filed your taxes?

  • No we owe. So I will log into Turbo Tax on April 15th and make my payment.

  • I filed around Feb 4th, I was eager to get my money back.

  • We will be getting money back but our taxes are so crazy we just don't seem to have the energy to actually do them.  :/

  • For once in my life, I had them done in early February!

  • We're expecting money back based on previous years' filings, but we haven't filed yet.  No excuse for it either.
  • We filed as soon as we could.  I had big debt reducing plans for our return, but we're THIS.CLOSE. to needing it to pay bills instead.  So, I guess it's lucky we got a return, but it's freaking me out b/c we're going to start getting behind my goals with our cards.
  • We filed at the end of January. That money has come and gone.

  • Yes, we filed ours a month or so ago.

  • We owe a decent chunk of change so we're waiting 'til the 15th to pay :(

  • We filed February 15th. We didn't have to pay this year, but wouldn't be surprised if we do next year. Our refund was more than I prefer, so I made some changes.
  • We are filing an extension.  We have done most of our 2010 taxes through turbo tax and even though most of the numbers for have not changed from the prvious year it is saying we owe money.  DH is going to get a CPA to make sure our taxes are done correctly and that we didn't mess up on anything since we itemize.

    Same here, its frustrating :(

  • I believe our accountant filed them, but we owe, so we haven't sent the check in yet.

  • I spent 2 days doing them last week, and now I think we'd save more if we file separately, so I may end up re-doing them before officially filing. Either way, it was excruciating. His job, my former job, my new contracting position, my side business, sold his house, had a baby, bought a car, received interest and dividends.... We'll end up sending in money because I have to pay taxes out of pocket, but the question is, a swampload? or a truckload?

This was us too. We tried both & it was still better for us to itemize and file jointly. We had the marriage, my contracting position, we sold some retirement stock of DH's (that they tax the ever loving shiit out of,) a big charitable deduction, house stuff etc. Luckily we still winded up getting a little bit back and didn't wind up using any of the savings I had set aside for my work taxes so that's being treated as part of our "refund" too. It was definitely a headache though.
