Second interview - baby?

I have a second interview with a company next week, the job would require some travel.  I have a four month old baby - my husband says he can take care of the baby when I'm on travel.  Should I tell them that I have a baby in my next interview?  I know its probably not the best idea - I just dont want it to be a suprise.

 Thanks!

Re: Second interview - baby?

  • No.

I don't see why it's relevant. You have a baby. Your DH can take care of the baby while you're traveling. What's the problem?

Everyone has a personal life, that may or may not impact their jobs. But it has no place in a job interview.

  • Keep it to yourself.  It's really none of their business as long as you have arrangements for care when you need to work and travel.

I don't see what one has to do with the other, from their perspective. How would you expect them to respond to that information? I don't understand what you are looking for from them.

If anything, it may make them decide not to hire you, OP.  Not that that is particularly legal or ethical, but that doesn't mean it wouldn't happen.
