Happy Monday? Yeah, it snowed last night. It's April. WTF? We had a rather violent thunder storm last night, complete with several house shaking bolts of lightening/thunder that shook the house and woke us up. Not nice.
We had a fun weekend. Saturday we hung out with Derek's family and played Yahtzee, then headed out to Tim and Shannon's. We got to spend a bit of time with the kids before they went to bed, but then just hung out and talked. Yesterday was a full day of playing and it was so much fun. Ryley is looking pretty good, all things considered. He's gained some weight since coming home and was just having plain old fun. He doesn't move as fast as his sisters, and he's not as strong for things like climbing, but he doesn't let that stop him! We didn't really have any in-depth/depressing conversations with Tim and Shannon this weekend, we figured they could use a dose of "normal" so I don't know much more.
How was everyone's weekend?
Re: Morning!
I'm glad that your visit with them was good!
My weekend was good! I'm taking today off because my IBS starting flaring up last night and I didn't want to get stuck at school with it flaring up like a crazy. I'm going to go take a walk and hope that helps calm things down a bit.

Good Morning! Friday, a friend from VA was in town, so a group of us went out to dinner. Saturday was a loooonnnggg day. DH and I woke up at 630 for some strange reason wide awake. He went golfing and I went shopping with my mom to look for maternity clothes. No luck- just found one shirt and one dress. Then I met DH and we headed to the car dealership where we bought a new car! I have a 2 door civic now, so there wasn't going to be anywhere to put a car seat. We bought a 2011 Hyundai Sonata! I really like it but it's bigger than anything I've driven before so it's taking some getting used to.
Of course the car buing process lasted forever. We were supposed to be at a friend's house at 8 for game night, but didn't get there until after 9. Stayed there for a few hours playing Phase 10 and didn't get home till about 1 am. That is WAY past my bedtime. Unfortunately I think the long day caught up to me, because I had been feeling good the past few days, but got sick when we got home Saturday night.
Sunday morning, we went to my mom's for breakfast and then came home where I felt like crap and didn't leave my couch for the rest of the day.
ugh, what a weekend.... cleaned the house and made cookies fri night, sat was girls day (wineries), per usual, I got way too drunk and by the end of the night was the emotional cryer in the corner - seriously? I'm way too old for this. Luckily most people were gone. And the crappy thing is I knew it was going to happen, its why I wasn't looking forward to the day. Either way, I did have fun with my friends....
Yesterday, naturally, I spent the day in bed....

Hey guys! It's evening here and I'm relaxing while poor E is at work. He's working til 8 every night this week (and last week) and til 10 every night next week AND both days every weekend for 3 weekends. For free. At least we have 'Nam to look forward to!
My weekend was good, I had a gig on Friday and ended up staying out til 3am. Relaxed and did some shopping on Saturday, then had a nice dinner out when E got home from work Saturday night, then more of the same on Sunday.
Raynes, glad to hear you had a good visit - I'm sure Tim and Shannon really needed a bit of normal as you say. I wasn't around for the Ryley thread but my heart breaks for them and I can't imagine what they're going through... on the other hand they must feel lucky to have friends like you guys.
Now jumping domestically.
Well that was a crazy couple of years.
I think we've all been there at some point!

Raynes, glad to hear that the visit went well.
Good morning, all. My weekend was great. I PR'd in my 10 mile race--I shaved seven minutes off of my 2009 race time! I went into the race super nervous for lots of reasons, but it went so well. I'm pretty damn proud of myself. I'm feeling like the runner I once was.
Other than that, we did our usual errands, reading, writing thing. Looking forward to sleeping in both days next weekend.
Good morning. We had a pretty uneventful weekend. We ran a bunch of errands, did a crap ton of laundry and cleaned the house. I made a cake (which is on August Cooks).
I filled our taxes last night, finally. Unfortunately, as soon as I hit submit, I realized that there was an error, so now I have to wait for them to be accepted and then fill amended returns, all to correct an error that gave us about $100 more back than we deserved. GRRR.

Weekend was pretty good here. Friday night was a lot of lounging and cleaning to get ready for friends to come over on Saturday. Unfortunately, most of our friends are allergic to our animals, so we have to deep clean if they want to come by.
Saturday night I finally got my sushi fix and ate like a cow. That night was not fun trying to fall asleep on such a full stomach.
Sunday was gorgeous outside, so I lounged on the deck with the pooches while DH raked up the other side of the yard. We might actually get some grass growing soon if the weather keeps up.
Raynes so glad to hear you had a nice visit.
My weekend was a little crazy. We also went car shopping on Saturday and I finally got my minivan. I never thought I would get one, but with the boys it will make my life so much easier. It is a 2006 Toyota Sienna XLE and it is fully loaded. I love it, but way bigger then I am used to.
Saturday night I got some type of flu bug so was hugging the bowl all night. To bad there was no alcohol involved at least I would have known why. Note to self, when trying to hold my hair while getting sick, remember to hold the toilet seat. It fell down and hit the top of my nose, so now I have a small bruise there. Yes, you can all laugh at my expense.
Sunday, I spent all day in bed recovering.
Have a great day everyone.
My weekend was pretty crappy.
I had to work both Saturday and Sunday. Saturday I woke up from a dream where I spent countless hours searching for throat lozenges - my throat was killing me. I haven't had a cold in probably 3 years so I was due. The thing that is so strange is it that it comes and goes. I'll feel ok for hours and then I'm hit with uncontrollable sneezing and coughing.
One good thing - we were having friends over last night so DH had cleaned the house pretty well while I was at work.
Today I have a busy day. Dentist, massage, eye doctor. After dinner we're going to our friends to watch Breaking Bad!
Good Morning Ladies! Hope everyond had a great weekend.
I had a good weekend. It was busy of course and I am so sleepy today but worth it. The weather here this weekend was wonderful. Today is another story since we are suppose to get some nasty thunder storms this afternoon.
Mornin' this weekend was pretty lazy. I hung out with friends and relaxed. I think I'm finally over my sickness and could dance around in happiness!
Raynes so good to hear that your visit went well. I am sure they need that sense of "normal" you mentioned.
My weekend was fairly good, mostly uneventful. Went to the gym, took some walks with B, did the laundry, etc. We went to a great Young Adults church group on Saturday night and the speaker was AMAZING! Truly an inspiring man. I also took some measurements and weighted myself (I am doing this on the first of each month to see my progress) and was very happy with how far I've come.
Good Morning.
This weekend was a pretty good one for us.
I was so sick on Friday so went to bed early. My mom is in town so she took care of me. Saturday I woke up feeling a little better so we did a little shopping and had lunch.
Yesterday, we did a lot of lounging and then had a great last dinner with my mom. She heads out this afternoon. I hate goodbyes but she is already planning on lots of trips and even more after the baby comes.
Have a great week ladies.
Morning! We had a pretty eventful weekend. We found out that my SIL will be staying w/ us for 6 weeks from May to June to complete a residency. Needless to say, most of Saturday was spend sanding and spackling the guest bedroom. Saturday night we went to dinner for DH's birthday. It was fantastic...brick oven pizza, gelato....yum!
Yesterday was DH's birthday, so I did my wifely duties (served him breakfast in bed, baked a cake, etc). We met up with our friends, ate wings, and watched the Phils.
Hope everyone has a great week!
Morning!
We had a softball game on Friday night... We won.
On Saturday I had to work, and it was beautiful out, so naturally, we were BUSY.
Yesterday we hung out with DH's fam for his sister's bday and then came home and relaxed.
Raynes, we had a really violent storm here early this morning, as well.. Hail and lightning and thunder... Oh, my!
Josh's kids are taking the state mandated math test today, so fingers crossed they do as well as the past two years worth of kids have done!
Good morning!
Friday's gun class sucked, it was super long and boring. We didn't even get a lunch break, the instructor made us watch a video while we ate. After the class I had to do the firms monthly billing, so I didn't leave work until after 7:30pm!
Saturday the weather was sunny and 84 degrees! I got a pedicure and went shopping with my mom and enjoyed the sunshine.
Sunday it snowed and it was so windy it knocked over our neighbors 6 foot privacy fence! Since the weather was crappy we had a lazy day, we watched season 6 of Weeds and laid around.
This weekend was crazy for us. We spent it running around getting all kinds of stuff for C. Plus all day Saturday I was dealing with FSIL wedding events.
Today I feel like a teenage girl waiting for a guy she really likes to call her back, as I wait for the phone call to tell us when we will finally meet her.
I'm also stalking the districts website so I can apply to the job I want for next year.
Busy week here.
