Africa was amazing - PIP
I'm back!
We had an amazing time. If you ever get the chance to go to Africa, do it! The weather was perfect, the food was great, and the locals were very friendly.
Alix was a wealth of information and gave us tons of recommendations. If she ever gives you a restaurant recommendation, just go, don't question it!

Your pictures are amazing! Looks like you had a great trip!
This is going to be tough. Best parts were the safari's (we went on 3!), the food/wine and the culture/history. We went to Robben Island, Nelson Mandela's old house, Soweto, which we're all eye openers.
The worst would be the long plane rides. No one can stay comfortable on a 19 hour plane ride. We had over 24 hours of flights each way, add in the 9 hour time change and it takes it's toll.
Other than that, we had a few curmudgeons in our group, but thankfully, we we're able to keep our distance and ignore them. There was no way I was letting a few grumps ruin my vacation.

he actually got in trouble for being up on the boardwalk! He found a hole through the netting around the boardwalk.
But, he walked right up to me and I took this picture straight down. He was sniffing my feet!
