Interesting....work related.
Interesting. So my boss just took me out to lunch for my birthday, but funny thing.A while ago I wrote about how he mentioned he eventually wants me to grow into Dir. of Product Management? He thinks I am ready, and well I guess when I am on mat. leave he wants me to think about the following...so that when I come back...Do I want that role (Dir. of Prod Mgmt) or potentially a Director of Marketing and he has and will position it to CEO as such... He may move into SVP of Sales & Marketing, so I would report into our SVP of Product Dev, if I took the first (who seems fine)...or if I took the latter position (which I am a little weary on b/c of job stability) I'd report to him if he moves into Sales. Obviously nothing is set in stone, but that's what his "vision" is for me when I get back from mat. leave...
Of course, I can decline both and stick with my current job, also.**insert HR disclaimer***Obviously I would need to know details of $$ increase, expectations for both the new positions, you know, since I am sure it is more responsibility and having a child, not sure what my desire to do more will be. Although now it sounds great. I'd also need to know travel expectations.I did also talk to him about my 4 day a week in the office thing, so I can WFH on Fridays, and he said if we position it as a transition, it could work, but probably can't commit to every Friday long term...So for at least 3 months I could do it maybe.Lots to think about.
