Re: Cocktail poll!
Frozen margarita. Classic version, none of that fruity stuff. No salt.
Also like a gin & tonic, but haven't had one of those in a long time.
I recently tried and enjoyed gin & tonics. From college, I liked vodka gimlets. I'm not a fan of hard liquor so I haven't drank much since college.
ETA: Do sangrias count? I love love the strawberry sangria from Ruby Tuesday's. Yummy.
I also love me a good margarita - on the rocks, with salt please.
At home, cocktail of choice is either:
- vodka with cranberry/pomegranate juice and a splash of lime, or
- vodka with raspberry lemonade (especially in the summertime!)
My drink of choice is vodka/ lemonade or a lemon drop martini.
At home, I make them with Absolute Berry Acai (so yummy) and Simply Lemonade.
I also enjoy frozen watermelon margaritas at home- freeze watermelon cubes, add white tequila and triple sec and a dash of oj- blend til smooth. So good.
Stand up for something you believe in.
You would post this on a day when all I want to do is go home and drink.
There is a raspberry margarita at a Mexican restaurant here that I love. It's just a regular margarita with Chambord added. It is DELICIOUS!
I also enjoy a properly prepared Sangria. And white/peach Sangria too on occasion.
My favorite drink ever is probably the mojito, but it's amazing how difficult it is to make one properly. I've probably only had two REALLY good mojitos in my life -- one was at SkyBar in Miami and the other was just pure luck at a local martini bar I (used to) frequent.
Chambord and champagne (Cham-Cham) is one of my favorite celebratory drinks. I pretty much adore raspberry anything, I guess. Although I find most raspberry martinis way too syrupy. The best ones I've had are made with vodka, a splash of Chambord, and real raspberry puree.
Sangria counts! ;D
Also, Malibu Bay Breezes.
And I can always go for a good fruity martini.
Also, a new favorite from this weekend -- Chambord Vodka and Sprite. Nom.
.... now I want a drink!

My favorite drink is a fuzzy navel. My friends make fun of me for drinking that, but nobody hears sh!t for drinking a screwdriver, so I think a fuzzy navel is perfectly acceptable, too. I also love pina coladas. That's my go-to beach or poolside drink.
If I'm trying to be cool or if I'm in Nashville, I drink Jack n Coke.
This is my MIL's drink of choice. Tara, if you haven't had this yet, you need to have it in the delivery room ready to be poured. It is unbelievable.
Stand up for something you believe in.
You use Sprite instead of club soda? Interesting. I'm assuming you skip the sugar then, since that'd be so sweet. I think the hardest part is getting the mint muddled just right, and using the right amount of sugar and soda.
Rasberry Margaritas are my fave.
Also, midori sour and kamakazee.
I've indeed had that. It's definitely better than raspberry rum or raspberry vodka and Sprite/7-Up.
And I really am having a drink once the baby's out! We have a bottle of Korbel Sweet Rose all ready to pour in the delivery room. The hospital actually tells everyone on hospital tours that you can bring in "celebratory alcoholic beverages" for the mini-fridge in there.
Mmmm, I love a lot of different cocktails.
Go to: Diet Coke and Southern Comfort
Favorite drink when I'm out for the night: martinis, preferably cosmos or french
Favorite drink that will get you really drunk quick: a godmother- half Amaretto half Vodka (although I usually do more Amaretto than vodka)
Favorite summer drink: toss up between pina coladas and a tid bit from this board (I believe it was DD) of diet orange soda and Malibu
There are probably more if I got even more specific...this makes me feel like I may have a problem
Oh well, cheers!
I'm mostly a gin and tonic gal (with lime), but we usually have vodka in the house, so that with tonic or flavored seltzer with a splash of cran is a close second.
I'm simple: I like vodka and mixers, vodka/cranberry, screwdriver, vodka/lemonade.
The most complicated drink I like is a Purple Nurple: vodka, peach schnapps, blue curacao, cranberry/orange juices. Mmmm. num yummy
I have a few, depending on where I am/who I'm with
Dark and stormy
St Germaine and champagne
mojito
and my newest favorite, a moscow mule
Please to explain. Ingredients?
Also, isn't a Dark and Stormy a beer mix? I think Craig orders those sometimes...it's two kinds of beer mixed together.
Okay, this is true. In the summer a good mojito is all I ever want. And now I'm craving one. The most perfect mojito I've ever had is made by a guy I work with, and I'm now going to bother him until he makes me one.
