For some Tuesday morning reading (at least for those of you who won't see this until tomorrow morning):

Thoughts? Seems to be fairly valid stuff. Well, I can't vouch for #7 and a few others (I am not going to limit my showers to once a week...ew), but I'm definitely on board with alternate positions for giving birth.

Yeah, I suck at all of these.
Do you think the public toilet seat squat/hover is effective? Also, I wonder if the don't brush after meals rule is the same as brushing after throwing up. You always hear doctors tell pregnant women to brush each time they throw up. I wonder if that does more harm than good. Maybe just a nice rinse instead? Hmmm
Actually, a rinse probably would be better, I'm guessing. Since stomach acid can eat at your teeth and if brushing aggravates that, brushing right after puking could be harmful I suppose. I've used just mouthwash after puking before but only because brushing made me feel like throwing up again.
The toothbrushing one is sadly true.
If you don't have access to a mouth rinse, chewing gum (with xylitol, a natural sweetener in some gums that actually may prevent and reverse decay) or nibbling some cheese would be better. You should wait an hour to brush after a meal or drinking anything acidic, like diet soda, tea or wine. You can also try one of the many enamel-strengthening toothpastes that are out now. But again, wait an hour.
Hey, for once in my life I'm actually doing more right than wrong! I breathe right, I sleep right, I brush my teeth right, and I bathe right!
As gross as it sounds, I only full-on shower once or twice a week. Mostly because I've learned that showering/washing my hair every day makes my hair impossible to manage. So I shower only when absolutely necessary; on the inbetween days I do use a sensitive soap on bodily areas that tend to gather unpleasant aromas daily. So I'm clean and I don't stink.
As for #7; I've done the correct way while in the woods hours from a real WC....there's no way that's better for your body. They can do all the studies they want but from personal experience, I'd like to sit, thank you.
I know I sit, breathe, sleep, poop, brush my teeth wrong.
Haven't had children but have done research and would definitely give birth in a squatting position.
Showering is true as well, I don't know how or why people think taking one or two showers a day is good. For me, it makes my skin drier and flakier and my hair nutrient-less and frizzy. How is that pretty? If I'm basically clean, there's no way I'm hopping in there every day.
