So apparently Canada is less behind in Top Chef that I thought, because they aired the finale last night. I was rather pleased with the result.
I did pretty much nothing last night. I went to go get groceries and my car wouldn't start. Yeah, not good. So I took Derek's and tried my car again when I got home. Nada. Then, Derek went out to try and the *vrooooom* she starts. WTF? Oh well, I'll take it.

Hello! After a few days trying to get settled back into life here, I'm back to posting. My body is still not sure what time zone it's in though, and I'm waking up at 4 or 5am. Ugh. Hopefully it won't last long. At least I used that extra time to work out this morning, which was soo painful after taking 3 weeks off.
I have a driving lesson tonight, hopefully one of the last since my test is in a few weeks. I got some practice in driving in Australia, so hopefully I'll be in good shape. We're still trying to catch up on DVR, but not sure I'll have time tonight.

Morning ladies.
Latnight was spent taking care of 3 babies. DH ended up coming home from work yesterday with that 24 hour bug I had over the weekend. Needless to say he is a sore puppy today, but he is heading into work.
Today I am busy at work, all ready wanting to pull my hair out. Oh well such is life. Praying that I don't get a call from my mother today telling me that she has the same bug DH and I had, as I really do not want to have to leave work early today.

Today I'm working on my portfolio some more, and hopefully applying for positions for next school year. I also have a puppy play date set up for Sully and his GF Poppins.
This evening DH and I are going grocery shopping because there is nothing in the house but condiments. I was on a lets eat all the crap in the freezer/pantry kick.
I'm really excited for tomorrow we get to meet C! She's coming over after school and I was thinking we could make cookies, and play on our trampoline.
So excited for you MO! And umm... can I have a puppy play date and jump on the trampoline... Officer's Fun House!
Rainy here, didn't sleep well. The dogs kept waking up and then the rain was ridic.... My grandma is potentially dying. She's 91 and went into the hospital on Saturday. She's bleeding internally but is refusing surgery so they don't know where its coming from or if its from her medicine or something else. She's now in intensive care and severly drugged up. The Rabbi came in last night and she told my uncle she just wants to sleep.... my mom hasn't really been able to get in touch with her (she's in L.A..... my mom is in NJ) and I know she's really upset... And since I'm in PA, I feel really helpless in making her feel better.
Tonight I'm probably doing a grocery store run and prob making some cod for dinner... we usually use it for Fish Tacos, but I'm up for any other easy tasty recipes if you got them...

No work for me today. But tomorrow starts a 9 day stretch...boo.
Today I need to work on my 'individual contribuation assessment' for my annual review on Monday and also on a new drug summary for a staff meeting on Thursday. Hoping it warms up for my long run this afternoon. I'm planning on 12-13 miles and it's only 37 (and windy) outside.
Tonight I have another continuing education dinner. More excited about this one than the one last Wednesday since 1 - I'm doing my long run today so I can't feel guilty about indulging and 2 - it's on a better topic.

I'm here, cranky 'n all. I have blisters all over my feet and I've lost my wallet AND somebody else is being let go from the school, and they'll find out today. It's all really stressful and I have a million forms to fill out and AAAAAAAAAAAAARGGGGGGGGGGH.

Morning. It's a very dreary day in D.C. My mood totally matches it--I just wanted to turn around and get back onto a train when I got to work. And never come back. I feel like things at work are getting worse by the day. I'm doing all I can to get out, but it feels like I'm stuck here forever.
We were supposed to have our fourth counseling session today, but our counselor had to cancel. That was all right by us--we're kind of talked out about kids at the moment and another week of thinking about what to talk about is welcome. We'll go to the gym instead, which will be a good way for me to channel my work frustration.
Good Morning. Yesterday I went to get the cd of our pictures from this weekend and I love them. We had some rough weather so we lost power for about an hour thankfully it wasn't off any longer.
Busy day at work today and its cold here today after being 85 all weekend.
MO I'm so excited to hear about your playdate. Cookies making and jumping on the trampoline sound amazing!
raynes, I was also quite happy with the Top Chef results. I'm excited for the reunion show and for Top Chef Masters to be starting soon.
I got to meet a friend's baby last night after I finally got home from work. I was in a terrible mood after getting stuck in a long, somewhat ridiculous hearing that lasted way too late into the evening. But seeing that little baby definitely cheered me up. Then we went home and watched some b-ball before heading to bed, after we determined that the game wasn't worth staying up for.
Tonight I'm hoping to a quiet evening at home. I didn't sleep well for whatever reason and then woke up to a sick dog this morning. So a quiet evening will be quite welcoming.

Sounds like everyone's got a lot going on.
Raynes last week the finale aired here. Richard threw a party at place near here and his restaurant gave out free burgers. I really wish I had gone.
I'm very very nervous and worried today. My grandpa went into surgery this morning to remove a tumor in his stomach. They aren't sure if it's cancerous. His surgery is even more dangerous because only half his heart really works. I'm hoping my Dad calls soon with news.

Morning everyone. B and I had a good, relaxing evening last night. Did a bit of laundry and caught up on the final episodes of Big Love. It definitely did not end how I expected it, but it was good nonetheless.
Today, is just the usual. Work work work. Things have calmed down since last week, but I'm trying to stay on top of everything so there is no last minute scramble before I leave for vaca at the end of the month.

we had a pretty uneventful night last night - went to the gym as usual, had breakfast for dinner, and watched last week's episode of Criminal Minds. we then watched some of the game and I read some of my new book before bed, which is awesome so far.
I've got my tattoo appointment set for this Saturday, and I'm reaaaally excited to have my sleeve worked on! I'm hoping to get it finished, but we'll see how long I can sit.

Holy moly there's a lot going on this week for everyone. Hopefully there are relaxing weekends in store as well.
My thoughts are going out to those with family in the hospital. It's not a fun time, so I hope things work out okay.
We had our u/s this morning and found out what we're having. I'll post pics and a recap later. Another super sleepy baby, which the tech thought was hilarious. By now I guess they're much more bouncy. I prefer the calmer kids, though, thank you very much.
MO* Can't wait to see baby C and hear how your day of fun went. Sounds like she'll have a blast.
Erinn - *big hugs* I know it's not easy when you're so far away.

I'm just working away, my body clock is still a mess. We've decided to get the house and yard in order, so I'm finally thinking about paint colors for the walls, tearing out the crappy shrubs on the side of the house and replacing them with something pretty, framing some artwork and possibly deciding what photos we want on the photo wall upstairs after the rooms are painted.
I love that my husband realizes we really don't have the time to commit to painting the inside of the houes and is hiring it out.

MO--Um, cookies and trampoline-jumping might be my dream afternoon. Can't wait to hear how it goes.
I woke up at 3 am this morning wide awake. And AF arrived around the same time (boo for another BFN and having to meet with the doctor now...appointment is scheduled for April 20th...but yay to being able to drink at my conference this weekend...)
Anyway, since I was up, I ran three miles at 3:30 this morning and then drank a pot of coffee while I tried to figure out some scheduling stuff for next year. There are lots of people retiring and some other changes at school next year, which means that I don't yet know what I am going to be teaching, so I was trying to figure out what the options might be so I could try to be proactive. Didn't work--I just don't get scheduling, but I was nice and wired when I got to school at 7, so this morning was pretty productive. I'm crashing now though, big time. I anticipate being asleep by 7.
Oh, and Ed and I looked at a house yesterday afternoon...it has a rental property with it (not attached though...which I like better) and it is much bigger than our current house with better land and away from a main road so the dogs could have more freedom...and with the rental property it would be no more and possibly less than we are paying now for our house. It is early in the process, but fun to look, especially since we aren't really stressed about selling quickly anyway...
