Holy pouring buckets Batman!

I"m so tired this morning because I could not fall back asleep this morning after that rain rolled into town. It also didn't help that I had two Bostons rummaging about because they couldn't sleep either.

Was anyone else unable to sleep through the storm?

Re: Holy pouring buckets Batman!

  • I woke before the storm because I have a sick baby at home. We didn't get hit as hard as some areas did. I'm really glad that the storm hit early this morning instead of in the middle of the night like they were predicting.

I've been up since 4:45. I wish I back in bed now.

  • Oh no Jen, I hope A is feeling better.  Something about the middle of the night brings the sickies out!

The storm was terrible up where we were.  Evie woke up and was whinning so DH went to check on her.  She was huddled in the corner of her crib farthest away from the window in her room, twirling the ear of her bunny, rocking and whinning.

So little miss got to spend from m4:30 - 6:30 in Mommy and Daddy's bed.

  • I'm really getting sick of these evening storms. Gracie hates thunder and she will whine and sit up the entire time. The swaying trees last night were really starting to freak me out too.
  • Yep, been up since 4:45 too. We couldn't fall back to sleep either and I am so tired! This coffee better kick in soon! The storm was nuts....it also didn't help that I just couldn't remember putting up my windows yesterday. I did, but that definitely added to me not being able to sleep.

  • Yeah I woke up because I had left the windows in our bedroom open some during the night and the wind was so loud so I closed the windows then. Thank goodness I did because we would have had a soaking wet carpet! Jade woke up when I did and decided she was scared of all the sounds and climbed on TOP of me. Yep, all 125 pounds of her!
  • It scared the crap out of me.....  the thunder made me jump!

We just had another storm roll through.  Severe winds and rains.  O'well the joys of spring.

  • I would have slept just fine through the storm - only the rain woke C up around 5am - which in turn woke me up.  :)

  • Yeah looks like round 2 is coming through in a few minutes. It looks very ominous out there.
  • We didn't sleep much last night either.  We've got a solid wood crate for Mason in our bedroom and he was making SO much noise in there, hours before the storm even started.  Maybe he sensed it or something.  Then when the storm came through he really started freaking.

Mella, I'm with you.  I couldn't remember if I had closed the sunroof or not yesterday evening :(  Luckily I did.  Can't wait to buy a house with a garage so I won't have to worry about that!

The wind is starting again, and Mason is definitely on edge.  Looks nasty out there, too.

Same. I did not hear a thing... but that could have been the bottle of Skinnygirl Margarita that I split with a friend last night.

  • It woke me up, but I was able to go back to sleep.  I gave Roxy a doggie xanax before bed in anticipation, and she handled it better than she usually does.  It woke her up, which woke me up, but instead of shaking and panting and pacing, she just sat up and panted a little, then thankfully went back to sleep.  Still tired though.
  • I thought our house was going to blow away and/or that a giant tree was going to fall on us...

  • I didn't sleep well last night either.  The wind and thunder were so loud.  I don't normally have issues during storms but last night was crazy.
